Tasty and spicy ramen, but . . . .

Although the ramen was quite tasty, and surprisingly spicy, this is not a good place to go with a group or even with one other person, because there are no tables, only individual booths with partitions. I find it a bit odd, but I do know its not an uncommon layout in Japan.

Pros: Fresh homemade noodles, Rich broth

Cons: Individual booths, The egg is served in a shell, so you must peel it

Not vegan

This place has a vegan to go kit but no vegan ramen is served at the restaurant. The ramen served at the restaurant is vegetarian.

Coming soon....

I stopped by today. I had noticed that the website did not specify that anything was vegan, so I asked specifically to the maître d' whether any of their food is vegan. I was told that they have a vegetarian ramen that could be made vegan if you leave off the spices... but they admitted that the ramen wouldn't taste very good without spices, so I ate somewhere else.

I noticed a sign that promised a "vegan ramen kit" that is "coming soon." When that happens (and if I am in the area) I might try this place again and up my rating. But until then...

Great ramen

Love this spot! The way the booths are set up allows you to really focus on your meal and all it’s flavors.

EDIT: I was informed the vegetarian broth may not be vegan. Please check before you go here! What would make the broth vegetarian but not vegan????

They can use oyster and fish sauces for flavor. That’s why the broth may not be vegan. Same thing happens with miso soup - always ask and they use fish/oyster for flavor. Thai places do the same. If the restaurant is not vegan, always ask. I have learned from experience :)

That’s frustrating! Why would they write vegetarian even though it has fish? 😭 thank you for the information!!
