Great Restaurant! - Edit
Absolutely delicious. I had the tofu mushroom hotpot and the miso cucumber. Both was absolutely great. Like many izakayad they have a 300 yen sitting fee which includes delicious noodles made from algae.

Must go in Fukuoka - Edit
Fukuoka only has a few choices for vegetarian and vegan restaurants and most of them have very limited openings times.
Read moreThis restaurant on the other hand is perfect for a lot of dietry restrictions, with a big vegan menu (in English and Japanese) and really delicious choices, mostly based on tofu, vegetables and mushrooms. Some dishes were kinda creative. If you are in Fukuoka, you should definitely visit it.
They also have a lot of different types of sake. I didn't try them, but if you interested in Japanese sake, this is also the correct restaurant for you.

Peach and apple in an amazing izakaya - Edit
We ordered mushrooms and eggplant together with the fried tofu, asparagus and (especially good) the spicy french fries. Everything was delecious and we topped it off with peach and apple sodas.😄Very nice atmosphere as well!

Great vegan options izakaya style - Edit
Oh, I really love this place! Like what The others said, english vegan menu is available and clearly labelled on the specials menu. The staff are really nice and conscious about what you're ordering, they tell you if it isn't vegan (I ordered takeaway for my omni partner).
Read moreOmg if you're in Fukuoka now, please go and try the fried gingko and the fried tsukune yam potato on the "today's recommended" menu (see pics). They're delightful! I know natto is not everyone's cup of tea but I love it. I got the natto and okra (they're standard), and the mushroom and natto spaghetti which is super delicious that I can't wait to try making it at home. They have a service fee of 300 yen but this comes with a complimentary seaweed side dish. I honestly wanted to try more food but I was alone and full, and izakaya is really for sharing. But they were kind enough to let me take my leftovers home.
Pros: English vegan menu/ clear labels, Great tasting food, Great service

Izakaya with focus on vegetables - Edit
Super tasty and well prepared vegetable plates!
Read moreThere's a separate menu with so much to choose from.
I loved the Avocado tempura!
Usually there's not much to eat for me at Izakayas, which is why I hesitated at first but this place is different and left me totally satisfied.
We talked to the owner and he told us that they were always specialising in local vegetables, plus the Rugby World Cup was held in Fukuoka before and the city wanted to create more food options for international guests with dietary preferences.
Totally give this place a try!

Separate vegan menu and reasonable prices - Edit
I was shocked when the staff came to our table and inquired if any of us were vegan, then gave us a vegan menu and indicated which of the pickled snacks that were served as part of the 300 JPY cover charge were vegan-friendly. The vegan menu is fairly extensive and drinks are reasonably priced. They have traditional seating available on one side that is really cozy and comfortable. I liked the warm, homey vibe of the place.

"Pizza and Spaghetti" - Edit
Good food, not what we were expecting. Salad pizza had a weird sauce but the aspargus spaghetti was pretty good with the provided tabasco. Tempura okra was difficult to eat, too tough. Weird atmosphere, felt like we were being laughed at. But friendly overall.

Great respect for vegetables and for vegans - Edit
While this place is not fully vegetarian, its vegetarian and vegan options are not just add-ons to adhere to more clients, but an integral part of the menu. Not only that but they experiment with vegan pizza (with vegan cheese) and spaghetti with a Japanese touch and nail it. I had mixed steamed veggies and the spaghetti with mushroom, soy sauce and natto cream, with an appetizer (comes as cover charge of 300yen,but asked beforehand). Everything was full of flavor, the veggies felt super fresh.

Izakaya restaurant - Edit
They really try their best to accommodate vegans. I had vegan tempura, deep fried tofu and mushrooms. Everything tasted great and they gave me vegan sauces and explained all the ingredients!
