Good vegan options - Edit
I had the creamy vegan ramen and subbed for the gluten free rice noodles. The noodles could’ve been better, they were stuck together and I had to do a lot to pry them apart enough to eat. The broth was tasty but could’ve been hotter, which probably also would’ve made my noodles better- hotter broth would’ve unstuck the noodles. I probably wouldn’t return on my own, but if I were with other people who wanted ramen it’s definitely a good option.

Pretty good Ramen and appetizers - Edit
First visit to Hinodeya and thought it was pretty good and had a fair price point. Opted for the creamy vegan ramen with extra iniri tofu which made the plate really filling.
Read moreLoved both the vegetable gyoza and shishito peppers appetizers as well! While this place was satisfying, it was from better like someone else said than Mensho. That being said, this is a great runner up to any other bay area vegan ramen therefore I'll keep it in mind in the event I am ever needing a late night bowl [open until 1 am or 3am ]

Had the Yuzi Zen ramen which appears to be seasonal so I cannot guarantee it’ll be on the menu when you see this review. But it was very flavorful, unique salty and citrusy broth, great veggies and tofu. Definitely with the price and you cannot beat that it’s open late night.

Several vegan options, clearly marked. I chose ZEN Ramen (Vegan), good but lacks a bit of taste, if you like spicy choose a higher level (I chose 1). The vegan gyozas are great, but better without the sauces.

Happy I found this place which has 2 vegan Ramen choices and some other stuff like Edamame and Gyoza. I had the Zen Ramen. Great taste. Great atmhosphere. Lovely stuff. You can add lots of things to your Ramen as you wish. The base though is quiet „little“ i think. It says in the menue: with shiitake mushroomS and there is 1!!! But yep: everything everywhere just got very expensive so it‘s probably just a reflection of the issue in general. What‘s great: you can choose the type of noodles you want. Try the spinach noodles. Sooo yumm!

Delicious Ramen in Union Square - Edit
Two vegan ramen options: creamy and zen. The creamy was perfect as-is. For the zen we wanted a little more soy and spicy taste, so we just asked and were happily given soy and a spicy pepper sauce, and it was great. The Yasai Kakiage and shishito peppers were so tasty, with different and delicious sauces. For a child they made just what they wanted from the extras section - noodles, inari, seaweed - instead of having to order a whole meal. The menu was clear, it was easy to order, and we had quick friendly service. The outside seating was nice.

Two vegan ramens with a good smattering of vegan appetizers. Would recommend checking out the creamy ramen and the gyoza. Vegan stuff marked on the menu! Beware, spice level 2 is still quite spicy!
