Cannot fault the cakes in this place. I ordered 2 for my 30th a few years ago and will be doing the same for my 35th coming up. The savoury snacks and food here as well as the little shop is fantastic. The owner is always very friendly too.

Love going to Hillgate Cakery when I’m in Stockport. Their ‘cream cheese and smoked salmon’ bagels are my favourite, and I love their pies too. Always spoilt for choice with their cakes. Friendly and welcoming place.

This place does the nicest vegan baked slices I’ve ever had. I enjoy their cakes as well but the pecan slice is what I’d write home about. Their pies and bagels are lovely too so no need to only go for a sweet treat. Super friendly as well

Creative selection of bakes, both sweet and savoury. Over my weekend I went twice and sampled: biscoff blondie, banana bread, pecan pie, and pepperoni calzone. There was a selection of bagels available that I unfortunately didn't get around to trying but all sounded delicious!

I've been coming here since it opened and the cakes have been consistently delicious 😋. Really lovely staff and I'm super pleased it's still going strong. I buy a selection of cakes as close to Christmas day as possible and have them as desert, they always go down a treat with vegans and non vegans alike.

Lovely place in a great pedestrianised area with fab independent shops etc. As well as having high chairs and tall tables for enjoying cake and drinks, there are some savoury options, there’s a section for grocery shopping.

... is a cheeze and hamm toastie and peanut butter brownie on a drizzly day in December. It was such a nice surprise to come across this treasure trove of vegan goodness on Hillgate in Stockport. Really friendly staff who gave me some good Christmas recipe ideas too. The food was an absolute bargain. Highly recommend!

Not only do they make the best vegan cake in the Northwest (if not the country!), they also have hot savoury food such as pies, bhajis and sausage rolls. The also sell groceries like cheese, milk, tinned foods, frozen food and tons more. ALL vegan

My partner is omni and he said he found the food delicious and was already talking about going again next time we’re near by. So thats an extra plus if you’re going with non-vegans.
