Deeply Disappointed - Long Time Customer, Combative Service and Pricing Concerns at Harvest N5 - Edit
I’ve been a loyal customer of Harvest N5 since its early days and have always appreciated its unique product range and role in the community. As a Black woman managing anxiety, I value respectful and consistent service, something I feel has significantly declined in recent years.
Read moreToday, I was charged £2.99 for a sachet of Zooki Collagen clearly marked at £2.49.
When I politely pointed out the discrepancy, the staff member refused to charge me the correct price, stating, “This is the correct price,” and even unnecessarily claimed, “I studied law,” in a very combative tone. This was not only incorrect (retailers must honour advertised prices under UK consumer law) but deeply unprofessional. Only after a second staff member intervened was I charged the correct amount.
This is not an isolated incident. I’ve been repeatedly overcharged, including on organic vs. non-organic items and on a previous visit, a staff member dismissed my concern when I returned about an overcharge, suggesting he would check their CCTV instead of accepting the error on their part and his unreasonable demand for a £3.59 item despite providing photographic evidence. I’ve also previously alerted the store to expired products on display, showing my intent to support, not confront.
While I understand staff changes happen, the current customer service is inconsistent, deeply disrespectful, and feels discriminatory. I urge management to retrain staff on pricing compliance,
de-escalation, and inclusive service. I write this not to harm the business, but to help it uphold the values I once believed it stood for. I hope Harvest N5 can return to being the welcoming, fair, and trustworthy store I once championed and not one I would be frightened to visit.

Perfect addition to the neighbourhood - Edit
This is a lovely shop with a great range of products and super vegan friendly. Coconut kefir, kombucha, flour, veggies, whatever you need, they'll have it! Lovely staff too.

Harvest N5 - Edit
Absolutely lovely neighborhood store packed with many vegan products. I'd definitely be a regular if I lived in the area. I was honestly surprised by this place. There were so many vegan dairy products, vegan meats, tofus, plant-based snacks/meals, etc. Also a great place to grab a quick snack.

Highbury Cornerstone - Edit
Astonishing shop right in the middle of Gunners territory which we popped into on the way to The Emirates Stadium. Couldn’t really buy anything but saw enough amazing vegan products to make sure it was worthy of being on Happy Cow. Fridges and shelves packed with a wide range of food items and ethical products. Be sure to visit.
