Worst fine dining experience of my life, so far - Edit
I tried this place because it showed up on some lists of vegan tasting menu places for a special occasion. The vegan option was a sad joke cooked by people who do not seem to have a clue what vegans actually eat. The portions were comically tiny and calorically inadequate compared to what was being served on the other menu. Flavors were bland, often underseasoned, and textures were unpleasant. Total waste of money. Go someplace else where they actually understand how to cook with plants.

Delicious creative innovative food - Edit
HAGS is a very sweet jewel box, serving a vegan and an omni tasting menu. The vegan tasting menu was delicious: highlights included the sourdough rosemary morel mushroom focaccia, a squash fritter with dill flowers, tomato roasted with shiso, a fennel steak with pepper gelee, and tempeh with nettle pesto. This is creative food — surprising and interesting combinations and very thoughtfully prepared. We had the vegan wine tasting alongside which was also perfect — surprising and really well-paired. This is a great place — we will be back!
