Basically a salad - Edit
While the portion sizes are generous and the prices totally fine, after finishing my box I couldn‘t help but think, „This was an okay dinner, but basically just a big salad with some common meat replacement on top.“ Also the store is not really inviting to sit in, but I guess that’s intentional.

Ich liebe Gustav! Das Prinzip ist ganz simpel. Zu Beginn entscheidest du dich, ob du eine Rolle (eine Art Wrap) oder eine Box essen möchtest. Es gibt auch bereits vorgefertigte Boxen/Rollen mit zusammengestellten Zutaten, für diejenigen, die bei der ganzen Auswahl überfordert sind.
Read moreAnsonsten darfst du dir jeweils neben Salat und Sauce (z.B. mein persönlicher Favorit: Joghurt-Minze-Sauce, vegan) für eine Rolle 3 Toppings und für deine Box 5 Toppings aussuchen. Nicht vegan sind nur der Feta-Käse und das Honig-Senf-Dressing. Sonst gibt es von Gemüse (Brokkoli, Mais, Gurke, Olive, Tomaten etc.) über und verschiedene Hummus-Sorten (Meine Empfehlung: Erdnuss-Hummus) auch Kichererbsen oder Mangochutney etc. als besondere Toppings.
Zuletzt wählst du dein Special (Veganer Kebab, veganes Shawarma, Falafel oder Wedges) und schon hast du dein super leckeres und gesundes Essen zusammengestellt!
Sowohl die Rolle als auch die Box sind dabei super groß und sättigend. Ich komme immer wieder gerne vorbei!

Diese werden dann gefüllt mit Salat, 3-5 unterschiedlichen Toppings, wie Linsen, viele verschiedene Hummus Sorten, Mango-Chutney, Brokkoli, Süßkartoffel, Champignons-Aubergine Mix,.... mit einer leckeren Soße und zum Abschluss darf man zwischen Falafel, Wedges und veganem Kebab wählen.
Wünschenswert wäre nur, dass der Feta von der Karte genommen wird und es damit komplett vegan ist.

...because if you have a queue behind you, it might put a lot of pressure on you as Gustav Grün's biggest advantage is also its greatest bane: there is SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM! The concept is easy: have the ingredients you want wrapped in dough or served in a box, take some bread with different toppings from the side of the counter if you fancy and take one of the very few seats or go on a stroll with your meal. Picking what you want, however, is not as easy because all of it is tasty, but you can't put all of it in your box/wrap. And it's this that turns my every visit to Gustav Grün into a bittersweet stress-and-relief story and that has me returning for more whenever I'm in the area💗

Everything’s vegan except the feta cheese topping and two sauces (but they‘re labelled, so don‘t worry). Staff is always friendly and relaxed. Either go to Gustav or pay a visit to Aro next door, it’s the same owner and also offers very yummy food (although at Aro‘s you‘ll find less vegan options, but no less mouth-watering food 🤤). Prices are reasonable. Don’t forget to grab some freshly baked bread with your box😄

They have like 6 different kinds of homemade hummus (like chilli, nuts & herbs, avocado) and loads of different fresh, varying topp8ngs you can choose for your wrap, box oder pita. It's totally recommended, you'll come back here in no time to try other options! Very affordable and portions are massive. Staff is extremely friendly!
