We had the vegetarian (actually vegan) plate. It was delicious and incredibly affordable.
The owner is Eritrean and, for their Lent, they eat naturally vegan food (as he explained to us). The options are well labelled and he was happy to accommodate our dietary choices.
We also had the chance to speak to the cook. She was lovely.
We came with no expectations (only place open on a Sunday at 3pm) but we were truly delighted.
We both ordered the vegetarian platter (in fact vegan) so the cook served in a big plate we shared. It was delicious, very tasty and complemented by the sligthlysour taste of the injera.
We were completely full after eating all this.
Service was a bit slow but the nice lady was alone to cook and serve, so it's ok.
Eritrean/Ethiopian cuisine lends itself well to vegan food in general. If you like injira (the Ethiopian crepe) you will like this place. Simple food that leaves you feeling satisfied and healthy.
