Okay but not that clean - Edit
The food was pretty decent and the service was polite and attentive but I witnessed them use the same gloves for touching money and food, not wash their hands when handling food, and use the same chopping board for all the food they prepared

Hello Kaysee!
Read moreThank you so much for your feedback and for visiting our “space”.
We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the food and our team’s service. Regarding your comments on hygiene, we’d like to clarify a few important points:
Although we operate in a street food setting, our company is fully certified and follows all food safety regulations, including HACCP.
The cutting boards we use are sanitized around 6 times a day using appropriate products, and we always have bottles of 96% ethyl alcohol at hand to reinforce disinfection — especially when we receive specific requests from customers with intolerances, such as gluten. We choose this type of alcohol because, unlike the 70% version, it offers greater effectiveness in the working conditions we face.
Items like bowls come straight from the air fryer at over 80 °C, and taco/wrap holders are disinfected and never handed to customers directly.
As for glove use, we follow a clear protocol: the glove that might come into contact with money never touches the food directly. We always use barriers such as napkins, greaseproof paper or spatulas. Our cook does not wear gloves, but also never handles money and regularly disinfects his hands throughout the service to ensure proper hygiene practices.
We would also like to mention that, had we been approached during your visit, we would have been more than happy to explain and show you our procedures in real time — we truly value direct communication and transparency with our customers.
Once again, thank you for your feedback. Constructive comments like yours help us grow and improve continuously. We hope to welcome you back soon for an even better experience.
With gratitude,
Team Gupi

Big recommendation - Edit
We spotted Gupi Vegan Pastry at the Lisbon Vegan Market. The offer was great and the staff was very kind and lovely. We had three different empanadas, pasteis de nata, a piece of raspberry cheesecake and a nutella croissant. Everything was so delicious and just perfect 😍 We hope we have the chance to come back one day and try all the other good stuff. Very big recommendation 🥰

Vegan food stall in markets - Edit
Omg the food was amazing. Got to finally try pastel de nata as it was the only place we found vegan ones and they were amazing. Also their "chicken" pie was insane and I'm still thinking about it.. overall everything we tried was great. They do pastries sweet and savoury, cold deserts as tiramisu and tarts and they do hot food too like burgers and hot dogs. Also they offer both meat substitutes ot mushroom incase u r not into fake meat. Both are great. Just couldn't recommend it enought. We found them in a small market called mercado de santa clara but I think they move to other markets too so maybe check their socials to catch them

Must try when in Lisbon - Edit
We were lucky to find Gupi at the flea market on Tuesday. They’re always here on Tuesdays and (if I’ve remembered correctly) also the third Saturday of the month. I took a ‘lime puff’ and a pastel de nata, which were soooo tasty! They had lots of sweet and savory options, so perfect for breakfast as well as lunch.

A vegan highlight of Lisbon - Edit
We found Gupi by coincidence while strolling over the flea market near Feira de Lara. But is there such a thing as coincidence? Maybe we were destined to find the friendly people at Gupi, who made me one of the best burgers I ever had in my life. The pastries are incredible as well. A definite highlight on our journey across the many vegan places in Lisbon! NOTE: Gupi is only at Mercada de Santa Clara every third Saturday of the month. You can also find them at other local markets. Check out their instagram for details.

Tasty street food - Edit
I had a bowl with vegan chicken, mushrooms, black rice, tomatoes, oignons, peppers and a strawberry cheesecake. Both amazing. The lady is very friendly and you can watch the chef cooking right in front of you. You can see they are true vegans, not just people selling vegan food. It's street food, but not junk food. They have several seats inside the market. You can find them there tuesdays and saturdays. Nice people, nice food. Will try the burger or the wrap next time 😀
