3.5 - Edit
I put 4 stars because half stars aren't an option but really I want to give Gruzie 3.5 stars. I got the Qotnit - beans with pickled veggies and shared a Georgian salad. The food was really really yummy. The atmosphere here is unique and dark which I like, however, there are furs and animal skins used in the decorations. Two other things to note: the server seemed annoyed and got short with me when I asked questions about which breads are vegan (some are listed as vegetarian on the menu). Also the baklava is marked as vegan on the menu but then in the details mentions it's made with honey.

It was fine - Edit
We had the bean stew Wich was pretty good, only the classic bread I was not a really a fan of but that could just be us. the dough "balls" with mushroom in it were pretty good and the potatoes were pretty good just a little bit to salty. The atmosphere was lovely.
Read moreI am just not a fan of the restaurant I found it expensive (I think the vegan options were a lot cheaper then the meat tho) also everyone eating absurd amount of meat everywhere kinda turns me of from the restaurant.
The service was good and the waitress were nice although when I wanted to ask a waiter a question he immediately was like you guys are not my table so normally ask the other person.
Al though it was okay but I would recommend other restaurants in the area instead of this one.
Pros: Atmosphere, The bean stew
Cons: Everyone eating meat everywhere

Great food - Edit
A hidden gem! So glad we visited. We ate downstairs, and it was lovely. There are furs in the chairs upstairs though. Service is great and be warned the portion sizes are HUGE! My omni husband had a non veggie meal, I had a salad, bean stew and bread. The salad was so huge it would have been sufficient for both of us! We took left overs away with us.

Cons: Very large portions , Animals skins on seats upstairs

The atmosphere is better than the food - Edit
I like the atmosphere. I just don't like the fur inside. The food was good but didn't blow me away. Once I had a vegan shashlik and all I got was overpriced vegetables. The staff ignored us. I made another visit. I had chinkali. It was good but not great. Friends got cold food.

Delicious, good atmosphere - Edit
If you can get a seat inside (which I wasn't able to), you should, since the medieval-ish decor is quite stunning (including animal skins, however). I never had Georgian food before, but this was one of my favorite meals I ever had. Be sure to try the Badridžani appetizer (eggplant wrap with walnut turned paste, with pomegranate) ... It's the best thing in the world. For main course, think the staff recommended me the Lobio, which was extremely filling.

Particolare con scelte vegetariane - Edit
Location caratteristica, molte opzioni maggiormente vegetariane. Cucina a mio parere un pò pesante... Molto unta x quello che ho provato io... Ma nel complesso buonino! Un po costoso

If you have no choice… - Edit
I looked for a restaurant located in city center and serves both meat and vegan options to go out with friends.
Read moreVegan options were limited to regular Georgian restaurant starters — eggplants with walnuts, lobio, vegetable salad… In the menu vegetarian and vegan options are marked with the same “V” sign but there’s a list of allergens in the end of the menu to help.
The restaurant lacked fresh air, animal skins were a big downer and live music was kinda disturbing (super weird choice of old Russian pop songs).
If you have no other choice it’s an option but that’s it.
Pros: Some vegan options so you won’t starve , Good wine, Central location
Cons: Limited vegan options , No difference between vegan and vegetarian , options in the menu

Great traditional Georgian food - Edit
Gruzie is a very well decorated place with a small terrace and a beautiful interior. It all looks very traditional.
Read moreThe staff is very polite.
We really enjoyed the food, it tasted amazing. There are all kinds of options for a mixed group too. According too us, there are enough vegan and vegetarian option, all traditional.
It is good to know that all the food came on its own plate or bowl, so it is all shareable.
Pros: Good food, Shareable, Setting

Very good - Edit
The food was very good and the portions were huge. The staff was very friendly and spoke very good English. The decor is also beautiful and you feel like in a tavern, there are animal skins hanging on the walls though if that can bother you.

Good atmosphere - Edit
First off, there is a language barrier here if you don’t speak check, but be aware of their Allergien chart. The Numbers next to the foods title You want to avoid are 3= Eggs, 4= fish products and 7=milk .

We loved the place! The venue was impressive. We were 5 people with different diet restrictions and everybody got suitable food for themselves, and all of us were in a food heaven with the flavours! The best restaurant experience from our trip ❤️

Great food! - Edit
Lots of clearly marked veg options throw out the menu! The first person we encountered was very rude but the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and inviting. The food was very flavorful. Also had amazing non-veg options for anyone with a non-veg partner (like me).
