I felt spoiled here

I was surprised to stroll along the streets of the San Blas neighborhood to see a place that was explicitly vegan with a shopfront as well as a restaurant. The shop sells kombucha, vegan cheeses, mushrooms, breads, pastries (some gluten free), and various crafts.

The restaurant was amazing. We were lucky to get in when there was not a line. Maybe 20 minutes after we arrived, there was a line that was several parties long.

We ordered tea, an appetizer, and an entree to share (there are entrees for two people on the menu). Before even getting any of the food we ordered, they brought a special appetizer out to us that is something they are trying out to add to the menu. It was bread and a special sauce to dip. When I told them I was gluten free, they brought out a second tray just for me with gluten free bread and my own cup of the dip. I was very appreciative of that because it takes a restaurant that really cares to actually understand that I could not use the same dip as glutinous bread with my allergy.

The food itself was incredible. We had the mushroom ceviche and the tacos for two. The ceviche itself was some of the best I have had and came with marinated sweet potatoes that were the bees knees. The tacos were on homemade tortillas that my partner and I still talk about as being the best tortillas we have ever had. We were so satisfied at the end of the meal and we were taken care of so well. It was a great experience.

Pros: All vegan, celiac approved, tastes so so so good

Cons: none

The lunch special is really special!

We had the almuerzo set, which is fantastic value for money. You get a soup starter, side salad (you fill your own salad plate from a buffet), main dish (of three choices) dessert, and a drink. We were both very full and very happy.

Amazing restaurant, favourite in Cusco

This place was amazing!! Went three times over the course of our trip. Their lunch special is so delicious and also a fantastic price. The service is amazing and it has great atmosphere. Also loved their desserts, the chocolate chip cookies and the energy bar. Wish we could have tried more on the menu. If in Cusco, you must go!

Pretty Dope

Huge portions, very tasty, high-quality entrees, excellent, filling desserts.
I was starved when I went here and ordered wayyy too much, not realizing that the appetizers and enters are gigantic. The service was painfully slow but even if I wanted to deduct a star for that, I'd have to add another star back on for their commitment to the environment--if you want to take food home, you have to carry it home on a real plate in a paper bag and buy the plate from them (4-5 soles) and they'll give you your money back if you return it after the fact. That was pretty gangsta and I gotta respect that 💯.

I also had ceviche for the first time in my life...I hated it but if someone likes ceviche, I have a feeling they'd love this vegan version because it's everything I'd expect from a fishy dish (slimy, tart, and swimming in lemon juice).

Pros: Big Portions, Fair pricing, They don't use plastic bags/containers

Cons: Slow, mediocre service

Was disappointed but I would give it another chance

I ate there once, ordered the lunch menu. Maybe I was unlucky, I found the meal boring and tasteless. The place was a bit too busy and crowded. But I've hear good comments and I would try coming back again and giving it another chance.

Pros: Nice self-service salad, Lunch menu is fairly priced

Cons: Boring and tasteless lunch menu when I was there, Too crowded

Amaaaazing

Was in Cusco a few days and ate here 5 times. So delicious. 15 soles for salad bar, entree, main, dessert and a juice is a good deal too. All the food we had was really good. Suggest getting there 30 mins before peak meal times as it was normally busy and there was sometimes a wait for a table.

Nice food but too busy

When I arrived they only had tables left in a covered outside area. This would be fine in daytime but at night it was really very cold, despite the heater. It was a very busy place, so people had to share tables with strangers, not ideal.

I had a vegetable stir fry that was really quite tasty. Absolutely nothing wrong with the food, and the service was friendly. But it was a lot more expensive than some other good vegan options in Cusco, and it was not very relaxing.

Pros: good food, friendly and efficient service

Cons: very crowded, expensive

Not to Be Missed!

If you're a vegan and in Cusco, you had better get yourself to Green Point. If you're not vegan? I recommend the same.

I must have tried nearly the entire menu during my 2 weeks in Cusco and everything was superb. I also met the owner and he is an incredible chef with great vision. He also offers vegan cooking classes!

Favorite dishes:
Mushroom ceviche - AMAZING
Samoas
Vegan Yogurt

Pros: Delicous, s/15 Lunch Menu is great deal, Good vision

Cons: Very busy at lunch time

The best food, and vegan, too

We picked our Cusco Airbnb because it was located a 1/2 block from the San Blas Green Point, and we're very happy we did. Green Point demonstrates that the best food, taste, nutrition, and presentation, is vegan food.

Upon our arrival in Cusco, we enjoyed a breakfast consisting of green juice, chai, and chocolate waffles. We dined at a communal table on the small upstairs outdoor patio, and enjoyed the company of a fellow traveler.

We returned the next night for dinner, and were seated at a communal, indoor table upstairs, in a small room with a nice ambiance. [Note, the tables downstairs are smaller, so generally not expected to be shared.] The raw lasagna was fabulous, as was the pumpkin soup. The cooked lasagna, garlic bread, and Peruvian stir fry were also very good. We took home tiramisu and chocolate mousse, of which I thought the taste of the tiramisu was just okay, but really enjoyed the rich, dark chocolate of the mousse.

The restaurant also has a convenience shop located next door, where we picked up a loaf of dried tomato bread and carton of almond milk.

The service was excellent and friendly. Green Point is very popular, and at peak times you may have to wait for a table, or share one of their larger tables with other guests. Twice we shared our table, for part of our meal, with friendly tourists, and enjoyed doing so on both occasions.

The prices were very reasonable by U.S. standards, and well worth the money for excellent vegan food.

Pros: Food selection, Cusco vibe, Food quality

Cons: Crowded at peak times

Okay food

We ate their fixed menu which was mediocre. The place was really crowded and hence we were asked to share a table with 3 strangers - we agreed since we didn't know where else to go find veg food. The place was sprawling with backpackers. It seemed kind of dirty. The food was okay - nothing to write home about. It was cheap though 15 soles for a soup, salad bar, main course, drink and dessert. They only had 1 server so he was trying his best to keep up with all the crowd. The cashiers and manager had no smile on their face.

Somewhere to really savour when not in a hurry

The first time I went, I had the cream of mushroom soup and the chocolate cake. Both, especially the first, took a long time to come: while waiting for the soup I filled almost all of the paper napkins with drawings! However, it was worth it. The chocolate cake was nice (similar to what I have had in vegan places many times) but the soup was really delicious, maybe the best soup I have ever had in a restaurant. The staff were very professional: I heard the waiter repeatedly chasing up my order with the chefs even though I hadn't done so with him.

The second time, I took a book, but the food came quicker anyway. I had the cream of tomato soup and the quinoa burger. The tomato soup was very nice, although not quite as good as the mushroom. The burger was also very nice and extremely filling. I only ordered it because they were out of tiramisu and I didn't want any of the other puddings: it would be plenty to just have it on its own without any other course.

The third time, I had the mushroom soup again (still lovely) and the tiramisu again wasn't available.

The fourth time, I went with meat-eating friends. Two of us shared the mixed grill. I've never had something of that type and went I heard the sizzling approaching the table I assumed it was for someone else (as when I hear that sound in restaurants it's always meat). It was great to be able to have the experience. It was very tasty, although I'd have omitted the banana and orange. Separate cutlery to serve ourselves with was lacking.

Bizarrely, all six dishes came with (I assume!) edible pansies on top: they must be the place's trademark.

The main negative was actually the soup bowls: they were absolutely enormous, making the portions seem small, and flat-bottomed, making it difficult to eat. They are trying a bit too hard to be trendy and I would have tangibly enjoyed the soups (even) more in normal bowls.

A bonus is that you get free bread and tasty sauce (different each time) at the beginning, I think regardless of your order (as on three occasions I had only asked for the soup by then).

The first and third times, the staff politely stayed in Spanish, even a waitress who seemed to be a native English speaker. The second and fourth, a couple of them tried to force English on me: it's annoying.

An interesting feature is the choice of ordinary private tables downstairs and communal ones upstairs to share with strangers. I am far too shy for the latter but many people might enjoy it.

Not as epic as it was...

There are now two locations for Green Point, and we all know that the San Blas one is the best, but the last few times I have been there it has been disappointing. I am wondering if the epic chef left. In fact, I stopped going back because I was disappointed, hopefully it has picked up again!

Pros: Completely vegan, Friendly staff and great service, Cheap lunch option

Cons: The food quality is not as good as it was, I waited an hour once for a lunch table

great food, large portions

We went there twice when in Cusco. I had the lentil burger the first time, the grill for two the second time. I learned not to order an appetizer because the portions were huge! Both dishes were excellent. The San Blas location is small. We were seated at a communal table the second time and found a nice couple to chat with about our travels.

Best vegan restaurant in the world

It is pricier than the San Francisco spot but the food menu is different and WOW! From the menu we tried the sushi, curry spaggethi, lasagna, pad thai, and masala curry. They were all beyond amazing!
The ''menu de dia'' is also really good and elaborated. It involves a drink, buffet salad, a soup, a main course and a small dessert.
The Green Point team really make an effort to create quality vegan food for a reasonable price.

Also, they offer cooking classes which we definitely recommend. We tried many of the courses and we use the recipes we learned in our everyday cooking.
Highest possible rating.

Pros: Amazing food and bakery, Safe place to eat, The philosophy behind

Cons: Fills up quickly

How Long Are You Willing To Wait?

This restaurant apparently has become popular, so popular that perhaps they need to adopt a reservations system, or expand, and to hire more help. I visited on a weekday after a full day of hiking. I was tired and hungry. I entered the restaurant, checked in with the cashier in front, and was asked to stand in line. There were two couples in front of me, I was alone. After about 20 minutes the first couple was taken to a table. Right afterward a gentleman came into the restaurant and asked to be seated, and for some reason the waitress took him up to a (group) table right away. When she came back down I inquired why I hadn't been seated first. She said she thought I was part of another group. I told her I wasn't. She shrugged her shoulders. So I waited longer. The other couple finally got a table. A man stopped by to ask whether he could order carry out. Answer: no. He left. After about 40 minutes I was taken up to a group table and saw the other gentleman (who'd been seated first) still sitting there, with nothing to eat. At my table there were two couples. Their conversation was uncomfortable for me (relating to the use of controlled substances) so I did not join in. I sat for 15 more minutes without even a glass of water. When the waitress came to ask if I'd like something to drink, the only man at my table spoke up to say he and his girlfriend had finished their appetizer and wanted to order now (!). The waitress took his order instead of finishing asking me what I wanted to drink. When she finally turned to me I suggested it might be best that I find someplace else to eat, and I left. This restaurant is small and quaint. The upstairs room where I was seated had so many people, too many for such an old wood floor. I opted to try a (non-vegan) beer pub and had a fabulous quinoa salad with avocado and a Peruvian Belgian-style beer. I otherwise would rather support a vegan business, but I think this particular one has outgrown its current configuration. If you are willing to wait, perhaps it would be worthwhile. (I did speak to the cashier before I left, to explain why I was leaving).

Pros: Presumably the food is good., When not crowded, the ambience would be nice., It is a completely vegan restaurant.

Cons: Too crowded., Too few employees., Pricey, compared to non-vegan restaurants.

great menu and location

The menu is extensive and very fresh ingredients are always used.
It has a great atmosphere and is cosy, sometimes cold so take a jacket.
The poor staff look like they need sometime off as they look tired and can be at times rushed and take a while wit the meals. The flavors are very amazing and are genuine (except for the pad Thai) and the meal sizes are very generous. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: lots of flavour, good price range, extensive menu

Cons: sometimes meals take a long time, rushed staff, can be cold in the restaurant

The green patio and green point are the best vegan restaurant I've been to.

Vegan Brilliance

I really enjoyed this restaurant. They have a great menu with lots of veganized Peruvian dishes, such as lomo saltado and ceviche. My Peruvian wife and her omni uncle, who lives in Cuzco, both gane it two thumbs up. The decor is comfortable, we sat up on the patio on the roof. The desserts were nicely done and the molasses cotton candy is genius. This is my favorite place in Cuzco, by far.
