Features a bountiful, daily changing salad bar and hot food spread, hearty breads and bakery treats selection made with wholesome sweeteners and organic flour. Self-serve style. Food ingredients are listed. Beverages include kombucha, smoothies, fresh juices, traditional & medicinal teas, and coffee. Now roasts the vegan-friendly certified Climate Wave Coffee in-house that protects wild animals and birds. Renovated a portion of the restaurant's space into a specialty coffee roastery cafe. Open Mon-Fri 8:30am-7:00pm, Sat-Sun 11:00am-7:00pm.

Read moreDelicious fully vegan food listed by the pound. Fantastic desert options. Soy, tempeh, and more are all made in house, which they sell packaged as well. When I was here, they had raw fermentation pickled vegetables. Great for your gut health if that's something you're into, and tasty regardless if it isn't!
All ingredients are listed clearly and common allergens are highlighted in red.
I strongly, strongly recommend the foccasia if it's available, fantastic both times I've been here.

A cosy place with great ethos, all made in house including the tempeh and tofu! Good seating outside for when the weather is nice too. They have cold and hot foods in a buffet style, and all kinds of sweet treats and ice cream! perfect for if you’re craving more wholesome foods that aren’t fast food. Would go back!

This buffet has so many options and everything was delicious. Loved that all the allergens were noted in red for all the items. With my gluten allergy it was very easy to know what was safe for me. There were also so many vegan gluten free baked goods to choose from.

Cafeteria food made vegan - Edit
It's nice to have a vegan cafeteria style restaurant. The food is okay, nothing special nothing bad. We found it to be on the bland side for the most part. Partner wanted some vegan butter to go with the corn bread but they don't offer it.

Extremely delicious food, we were there for lunch, where there was a buffet and you had to pay by the week. The food was delicious, the selection was really big. Not to be forgotten is the excellent cafe next door. I had an extremely delicious hot chocolate there!

Wholesome food and delectable treats - Edit
This is my town, and I dine at Green Cuisine often. The self-servce buffet has now returned (2023, after Covid). Since the buffet items are sold by weight, in order to dine more cheaply, avoid the heavy items, like potatoes. There are always two good soups on offer, and for a very reasonable price - it's a great value. The focaccia bread is delicious. Stews, shepherd's pie, lasagna, tofu and tempeh dishes, greens and other vegetables, plus salads both green and noodly. As for desserts, my favourite is the sticky ginger cake (known as sticky toffee pudding in the UK), but all the cookies and other sweet treats are excellent too. Oh, and ice cream! The noodle boxes last me at least two meals. The pizzas are great also.

I've been going to Green Cuisine for more than two decades, and it always satisfies.
Added in 2023: Green Cuisine Café is now beside the buffet room, offering an array of coffees and treats. The ice cream chest has moved in here as well.

Read moreI had gotten of the ferry from Port Angeles a few hours earlier and wanted to eat before going to visit a friend.
It always tastes good with a very nice variety.
They had gluten-free vegan corn bread. It goes by weight so choose your options wisely. You are spending the same money for rice as you are for in-house made tempeh.
~14$CDN for a good meal. The corn bread was 1.30$CDN for a slice.
Very nice atmosphere.

Vegan Buffet Style Food - Edit
My husband and I had dinner here and were pleasantly surprised. I couldn’t help myself and got a little of most everything to try. Everything was vegan, so we went to town. I really enjoyed the German potato salad, Indian summer stew, focaccia, falafel, and the millet mash. The salad bar was on point and they had a ton of sauces/dressings to add to your salad or falafel or whatever you decide to eat that day. You pay by weight - pro tip: soup is the same price regardless of weight. If you get a small bowl of soup they charged us for half. They update what they offer on their website if you’d like to look before going. Also, their FB has great recipes that they post regularly. Some of the food was a bit bland, but with a touch more salt it brought all the flavors to life. We sat with a view of Market Square and enjoyed some people watching.

Unpretentious, but delicious vegan buffet - Edit
We loved this restaurant so much that we ate there both nights during our stay in Victoria - it's so fun to have an all-vegan buffet. The BBQ tempeh was especially delicious. Dessert options all looked amazing- but we were too full to try! We ate for under $20 each - a bargain!
