Long wait, underwhelming .

I was surprised, based on all the positive reviews. The service was super slow. There were other customers who arrived after me who were served, ate, and got the check before I even got my entree. The buffalo cauliflower was so-so. The sauce was not too hot and the cauliflower not as crispy as it could be. The pan-seared fettuccini was a strange blend of East meets West. Bok choy, mushrooms, and unmarinated blocks of tofu swimming in an oily bath of sesame oil broth with slightly crispy wheat noodles. I felt like they should have swapped the fettuccini out with rice or a more asian noodle. Other people's food looked good, I don't want to knock it til I try it, but my meal was definitely not worth the thirteen bucks or the long wait.

Pros: lots of vegan options, lots of beer options, friendly staff good ambiance

Cons: strange food, long wait

Love this place!

Such a great addition to Adams Ave! We love everything we've tried at Grains, and I think at this point we've tried it all. They offer delivery through lots of food delivery services like Postmates, but the atmosphere is pretty great if you decide to go. Casual and not too expensive.

Pros: Great location, Great menu, Affordable and open late!!

Cons: Limited Menu (we've tried it all!)

Great, Chill Atmosphere/ Nice Food

The wooden wall, minimalist decor and light piano music give this place such a chill ambiance.

The servers are bright and cheery, and the food is tasty.

I ordered the drunken noodles topped with tofu. The predominant flavor was basil with a touch of garlic. Solid presentation.

The Best Vegan Food!

I’m obsessed with this place. I just discovered it and have already gone back twice. The owner and staff are lovely. I’ve been vegan now for a couple of years and have traveled the world trying different vegan restaurants, and I️ will confidently say that this is some of the some of the best plant-based food I’ve ever had. Even my non-vegan friends loved the dishes. I️ highly recommend this place!

Pros: amazing food, great selection of vegan beer and wines, great location

Cons: NONE!

Now All Vegan!

Grains changed their menu slightly (primarily to remove the non-vegan items, such as the non-vegan cheese substitutions and the egg pasta). The owner confirmed they're all vegan now.

On to the review--good quality food with moderate portion sizes. They have various dishes from around the world, including the US, such as the Philly cheese steak, Banh Mi vegan "pulled pork" sandwich, quinoa fettuccine, a few Thai dishes, etc. Nothing's too exotic but things are tasty nevertheless. They now have a good selection of beers and wines. Friendly service.

Pros: All vegan, Good food, Friendly service

Cons: Menu isn't really big

99%Vegan Family Run Amazingness!!!!

Fresh, delicious, and amazing all run and cooked by a beautiful family. Grains is a fully vegan menu but is classified as "vegetarian" due to their having a shredded cheese option in order to help vegans who want to bring hesitant friends.

I could eat here every night!

Pros: Tofu Larb, Cozy clean atmosphere , wonderful staff

so delicious

The dishes here on the soft open menu are vegan but can be made vegetarian by adding dairy cheese instead of vegan cheese.
We had the calamari mushrooms, garlic potatoes, quinoa fettuccini, drunken angel and Philly cheesesteak. My favorite were the mushrooms and drunken angel dish. We had mango sticky rice for dessert. Everything was so good! Friendly service too- we will definitely be back.

Pros: fresh pasta, beautiful presentation, quality food

Cons: I'd prefer not to have dairy cheese as an opti
