Edited and star rating reduced October 2025 - the last 3 times I’ve come here when they’ve been doing breakfast rolls they’ve had zero vegan options and didn’t care at all, in fact the staff were pretty rude about this and seemed very dismissive of vegans in general. I’ve not gone down to 1 star yet as they used to be a good option but they’re definitely headed downhill.
Previous review: This is a lovely little cafe with a small hot rolls menu which includes vegan sausage, tattie scones and hash browns for vegans as well as vegan spread on the roll. My vegan sausage and hash brown roll was nice and the pot that my tea came in was very attractive! The staff were lovely and although there aren’t that many options I would definitely come here again for a quick pre-train bite to eat.
Was okay for a quick stop. Coffee was average. When we’ve been there - quite early - the vegan breakfast was out and only a croissant and a few cookies left.
Loved this place outside Central Station. Coffee was really great, and the breakfast bap was incredible. They have three filling options - sausage, hash brown and tattie scone which is kind of a flat potato bread thing. I had hash brown and sausage and was the best id had! Strongly recommend for breakfast and coffee
Nice to support an independent cafe. Had a decent iced oat latte. Non-dairy milks are 50p extra though and there were no vegan options available in the cabinet
Just wanted to add that I’ve read the other reviews and see that there are usually vegan options for food - I possibly went at a busy time with the cycling on so vegan options may have just sold out :)
Gordon Street coffee is a great independent business in Glasgow that tries to cater for everyone. Vegan options (both sweet and savoury) are usually available. They support other small businesses (Twisted Empire Bakes is amazing) and are so much better than the big chains. Specialty coffee.
Normally I feel like my soul is being sucked out of me in train station eateries - very commercial, the same old chains - so I normally find a seat in front of the train timetable and shiver my [censored] off. Though on this occasion I was very pleased to find a non-chain-y coffee shop that had a good selection of vegan cakes (my count was 4) and though a small lunchy/snacky menu was mostly veg*n, plus decent coffee and a warm place to sit for 20 minutes. I'd happily stop off here in the future if I were waiting for a train (though Stereo a pure vegan cafe is a stones throw away which has a great selection of food but its not so much a grab and go situation).
