Good Food, Gluten Free, Different Options

Love the black sesame latte! Healthy gluten free meal with rice noodles or organic brown rice, seaweed soup, and many more options. Ordered dishes where hubby enjoyed gluten items as they are very tasty.

Lemongrass specialty dish with steamed broccoli would be much better and healthier less fried more of a quick stir fry less oily. Same with wonton soup. It would be better to have a steamed wonton not fried wonton.

Beautiful mural adds to the ambiance.

Definitely recommend but Uber/Lyft there not best area.

Pros: Tasty vegan food & hard to find grocery items, Several Gluten free options, Nice ambiance & desserts

Cons: Not in great area, Too many options are fried , Add more gluten free proteins

Super Very Good Noms!

Traveling from an area that has very little to offer in the way of vegan food, this was our first experience of full vegan dining in the Bay Area. Everything was extremely tasty & we left with empty plates, full bellies, & smiling faces! Very clean, beautiful restaurant with friendly & quick service.

Pros: Full menu of vegan options, Fast, friendly service, Great prices

Good though oily

This restaurant offers a lot of mock meat dishes, often fried with oil. What we had was mostly good but definitely not healthy or else. Perhaps other options would have been less oily.

The menu is super long, you will find something that accommodates you. Service is super fast and friendly. Prices are low.

Last thing: the neighbourhood is packed with homeless people / drug addicts / persons which psychological issues. We went there at only 7pm, and were still feeling unsafe. We got a uber to come back. I would recommend anyone NOT to go there by foot.

Pros: Many options , Fast & friendly service

Cons: Oily / fat, Neighbourhood

Still excellent in its new location

We've been enjoying Golden Era for many years, and its current incarnation is at least as good as it has ever been. The menu has grown a few new offerings while keeping the old favorites and dishing them up with consistency. The chef's specials are a good place for first-timers to start.

Parking is rarely easy, so consider other forms of transport.

Delicious Food

I came here to celebrate my birthday with my family, including 2 picky iomni kids, 5 and 7 year old.

We all really enjoyed our meal, even the kids. It was super cute to see them asking for another order the crispy lemongrass special.

We had two crepes, spring rolls, 2 orders of the specials, and wonton noodles. All were delicious.

The staff was great too.

We got a Bao to go, unfortunately, not so good. It was stale and dry.

Great 👍🏼

This restaurant has really tasty dishes with good spices and lots of choices. However, the staff doesn’t seem to speak any further English so they keep bringing food no one ordered (at least we didn’t order it and they brought it back to the kitchen).
The prices are OK. Desserts are the best part here!

And let me tell you: Take an Uber to this location. Tenderloin is not really “charming“, unfortunately...

Pros: LOTS of choices , Tasty!

Cons: Staff doesn’t speak any good English , Location

Big menu!

I only had dessert here (I had mocha cake which is amazing) but I plan on going back for a proper meal. Space is so large, don't need reservations

Love this place

Food was fantastic. The portions are huge! Tofu salad was very tasty as was the curry I ordered. Generally not a fan of fake 'meat' proteins (I didn't realise the dish I ordered centred around it) but the sauce and veg made it all very tasty. Mango smoothie was also delicious. Menu is extensive too, so you could go back numerous times to work your way through the menu and not get bored. Which is exactly what I'll be doing.

Pros: Huge choice, huge portions

Cons: None

Good food and vegan desserts!

I ate here while visiting San Francisco and picked it because they had vegan desserts and I have been craving sweets. H food was so good but unfortunately I didn’t get a photo of the dessert as I scarfed it down

Pros: Lots of seating , Quick service , Good food

Good food but be careful at night

The food was really good here. But a word of warning to other tourists and first time visitors of San Francisco, like us: This restaurant is in Tenderloin, which is not a safe place to walk around at night. We did it, like at 7pm, and there were several junkies lying on the sidewalk, one just injecting himself as we passed by. But I think it is safe to get there by Uber and the other guests in the restaurant were just normal people, even families with children.

Delicious!

I think this may have been one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. I got here after walking through pouring rain for half an hour, so went for the Spicy Noodle Soup, hoping it would warm me up. Not only did it do that, but it tasted truly amazing. Wonderful, flavoursome broth, and at least four different types of tofu/seitan. Looking around the restaurant, I couldn’t help remarking that everyone else’s food also looked great - I really wish I was in San Francisco longer so I could come back here!

Pros: Reasonable price, Large selection , Delicious

Cons: Not in the greatest neighbourhood

Delicious and very accommodating

Most times I've hit this place up, I've come in parties of 10-40 People and they seat everyone! Everything I've tried so far has been delicious and they even sell things like jerky at the counter to go. I love it here!

Pros: All vegan

Delicious place to take a date

I love bringing new people to Golden Era. Whether they are new to San Francisco, new to veganism or new to me, they always fnd something they like and we always have a good time.

I've had just about everything on the menu and everything is good. Some of my favorites include the ban xeo which is kind of like a folded omelet with tofu and mushrooms in it. I don't know another place in the city that serves it.

The appetizers are amazing too like the mushu rolls. And the desserts are fantastic. My favorite is the oreo cake. You can also buy candy bars, vegan egg. And other things to go.

There's always a table open because there is lots of seating, but they are always busy. Great place for a large group.

Pros: Affordable, Good variety

Good

I had Spicy Asian Stew. It was good. The Drumsticks were were not for me and simply came with ketchup - instead of a nice dipping sauce of some kind. Service nice.

Pros: Service is nice. Fast. , Food - good and very good for some some items, Pricing good.
