Fun punk bar

This place has a great vibe and location. I thought the food was good, though the Cesar chicken wrap tasted a bit off.

Great vegan bar

A fun spot to go with friends. Food was very good, sandwiches were the big draw. The sandwich I ordered was loaded up, not skimpy with their toppings. Lots of drinks options since it is a bar. A very different atmosphere and aesthetic compared to the other local vegan bar I've been to, I like that there's a variety in town. Has a punk rock bar vibe.

Went back today again and discovered they have half price drinks on Thursdays. Also tried the cheesecake they had listed for desert and it was very good. Service was once again great too.

Fantastic "meaty" sandwiches

I’ve had the cold cut sandwich, french dip, cauliflower buffalo wings, and chocolate cake here and all were such a treat. I was shocked by how the imitation salami and roast beef tasted just like the real thing to me. The meats are incredibly flavorful and I love that they're made in house. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!

Pros: Sandwiches, Desserts, Punk bar ambiance

Solid brunch selection

It’s sort of out of the way to get to this place but it’s definitely worth the trek. Although it’s situated in Georgetown, the food and ambience makes up for it! Will surely revisit sometime when I’m in the area again. Great if you’re getting business done at Georgetown, maybe stop by the nearby USPS.

Should be at the top of everyone’s vegan restaurant list when visiting Seattle!

We tried the French dip, Rueben, peach cheese cake, and Carmel cake. Each was great and absolutely divine.

***Do not skip the cheesecake if you come it is one of the best I have had!

Awesome lunch

I was a little unsure of the location but once inside, it's extremely nice and a place I wish was in my neighborhood. The horseradish and roast beef is probably the best sandwich I've had in a year and the bacon chicken wrap wasn't quite as good but till very tasty. Good tap list as well.

Best house made faux meats

I've been coming to this restaurant for years (back when they were called Highline, located in Capitol Hill). Great vibes and delicious sandwiches, including some of the best house made meats I've ever had. Try the Reuben!

Kinda sorta. Highline and GLC were both in business at the same time. A former co-owner of Highline bought and reopened GLC.

Fantastic vibes, staff, and food!

They put in a last-minute order for me (very friendly of them!) and I got the chipotle chicken wrap with a potato salad side.

It was bomb! Amazing flavor, fun textures, and both the wrap and potato salad 100% delivered on expectations. Loved the music and the atmosphere!

Long live GLC / tipping dark pattern

In a world crowded with places selling cut-and-paste Beyond/Impossible burgers, these people are doing something unique and doing an amazing job.

My general experience here is that the desserts really shine. I have had less-than-fresh salads. Impressive that they make so much in house.

If a girl can dream, I do wish I could get a Highline-style fish taco/sandwich here!
**

Despite no table service and self-bussing, they do start their suggested tip screen at 20%.

Great Vegan stop!

Excellent options in an all vegan spot. We tried the French dip and BLT which were stacked with house made faux meat. Will come again.

Lovely vibes and good food

I miss the convenient location of the owner’s previous venture - The Highline - in Capitol Hill, but this place is great too! A punk-themed bar sort of out in the Seattle boonies, it has a nice pub food menu and a great drink menu. The veganized White Russian with soymilk is soooo good!

I generally like everything I get here! Most recently I got the chicken bacon wrap and honestly it was the best thing I’ve ordered yet, highly recommended! I really appreciate that all the cheese and meat is made in-house, so it’s not like you’re ordering a Beyond Burger with some Violife cheese which you could have made at home. Prices are…expected for a Seattle vegan joint, but I am happy to eat somewhere with good vibes and thoughtfully-made food.

Pros: Good menu options, Bar theme, N/A and alcoholic options everywhere

Cons: Expensive, like other Seattle vegan spots

Super delicious brunch

Great coffee to start with. Thx for Combo plate recommendation. Tofu scramble flavor was very good. Biscuit were not dry and dense. So far best vegan biscuit and gravy for me. Egg Benedict assembly is insta worthy. Thier Hot sauce with potatoes kicks the brunch a notch up in flavors. Have to visit back for Rueben and dinner and drinks.

Amazing Sandwiches

Scrumptious sandwiches! We stopped here on a Friday night on our way to pick someone up at SeaTac after asking for suggestions for a vegan place near I-5.

I always crave a good vegan sandwich, because they are a rare find.

Husband (plant-based at home, meat-eater when out) and I (plant based & ethical vegan) had the cheesesteak and BLT sandwiches and split them with a side of potato salad. Everything was phenomenal. It was impossible for either of us to pick a favorite of the two. The food wasn't greasy, which is a nice change since restaurant food is almost always drenched & dripping with oil. I love that they make their food from scratch & would love to know how they make their marinades for the seitan and tempeh.

My husband raved about the food to several meat-eating friends and told them they would never know it was vegan.

Despite our one cocktail & mocktail being in tiny glasses & not worth the price (husband questioned if his vodka soda had any vodka at all in it), I will want to return here every chance I get for the food.

Cute place & fun vibe and I hope they have many, many years of vegan success ahead of them.

I wish they existed closer to where I live, I'd be a regular for their sandwiches.

Pros: Sandwiches are insanely delicious, Maybe the best sandwiches we've ever had, Fun vibe

Cons: Drinks served in too tiny of glasses, Drinks overpriced for what you get

The food here was terrific! Best vegan blue burger ever! 🍔 💙 Also, I took one of their GIANT Pumpkin spice sugar cookies home and I'm so glad I did! Yummy!

Pros: Neon ACAB sign, blm flag, queer flag, Generous portions

Cons: A bit dark in the middle of the day, but it's a punk bar, so...

GLC RULES.

I’m kinda obsessed w/trying new things, but I can’t help but get the french dip w/a side of potato salad every single time bc it’s so damn good. A week or so ago, I saw a review of the BLT on IG + thought okay yeah, I def gotta try that, but then they announced a brunch menu + my partner + I had to hit it + split it Saturday AND Sunday.

The eggs benedict is my new favorite thing bc I’m a brunch grrrl. The egg is a little strange, but it totally works in the overall bite. I love love love that the biscuits come w/sausage gravy bc mushrooms give me the shivers. The breakfast potatoes + tofu scramble need an extra shake of salt, nbd, it’s literally all good.

Pros: hella cool vibe, great grub, easy takeout

Cons: kinda spendy, extra $1 for to-go orders

Thanks for the review! The French Dip is where it's at! Someday you'll try something new, but no rush on that! And we hear you, no mushrooms in the gravy! Ever! See ya soon again!

Good drinks and atmosphere

I remember the 2006-2022 GLC and the 2024 one is pretty different (it’s Highline in a new location, if anyone remembers that place) but great in its own ways.

Cocktails are great, food variety is limited but the entrees are all good especially with booze.

Atmosphere is always good, staff are generally great.

The music is great (99% anarchopunk) but I suppose might not be everyone’s cup of tea. 😜

Pros: Booze, Atmosphere, Sandwiches
