Good drinks and atmosphere - Edit
I remember the 2006-2022 GLC and the 2024 one is pretty different (it’s Highline in a new location, if anyone remembers that place) but great in its own ways.
Read moreCocktails are great, food variety is limited but the entrees are all good especially with booze.

The music is great (99% anarchopunk) but I suppose might not be everyone’s cup of tea. 😜

Long live GLC / tipping dark pattern - Edit
In a world crowded with places selling cut-and-paste Beyond/Impossible burgers, these people are doing something unique and doing an amazing job.
Read moreFirst time I've been down this way since they got taken over by the Highline folks a few years ago. I think this might be my favorite vegan sandwich place period, topping Quickie and Homegrown Smoker. I had tepid feelings towards the old GLC, and while it looks like they've mostly kept the menu (insofar as I recall...you used to be able to get a french sandwich and you still can) but upgraded the quality.
If a girl can dream, I do wish I could get a Highline-style fish taco/sandwich here!

Four of us went here and we all ordered different meals and we all raved about how good they were. They were knowledgable about vegan food, they were helpful in describing the foods, and they werevery quick in preparing the food. We will be back even though it is a long way away.

Bufflo chkn is easily one of the best salads ive ever had. Soy curls were insane texture. Spice was enough to keep the heat, barely made my nose run. Thin sliced red onions 🤤

I’d say this is one of the best places in Seattle. They have so many great homemade sandwiches with homemade seitan/meats. It stands out from all the burger vegan fast food places. Their drinks are amazing too! Absolutely love all the names :)

Amazing bar food! - Edit
We had the philly cheese steak and the bleu burger and they were both so good! I'm really impressed that they are made in house. The "meat" of both dishes were a great texture and flavor! And the bleu cheese was a very nice bleu cheese tang! Also had a side salad with their ranch dressing and the dressing (also house made) was excellent. I'm pretty sure that a meat eater wouldn't notice that it wasn't meat. Great atmosphere and all around so tasty!

Not much to complain about here. Their sandwiches are delicious. I loved the old GLC, and I loved Highline, and the new GLC is a beautiful blend of the two. Highly recommend the French dip. (I do miss the Picard though. That was a special sandwich).

Punk Rock Vegan Holiday in Seattle - Edit
Everything I’d want in a vegan place - I felt right at home! The music - the super kind and attentive service! A total must visit for any alt vegans visiting the Seattle area!
Read moreOrdered the Vegan Chicken Casar Salad and Side Potato Salad (WHO Am I?!?). The Casar Salad was amazing and so satisfying- I ate it all. I didn’t mean to order the Potato Salad (oops I meant macaroni).
Enjoyed my meal after a walk from the light rail (SODO) and was refreshed by the Kombucha on tap! Would totally bring others and come back!
Only bummer is they didn’t have dessert but that’s okay!
Pros: Fully Vegan/Plant-Based, Punk Rock and Alt with Awesome Decor (PR Legends), Music Was On Point (The Adicts and Ramones)
Cons: No Desserts (Only Sweet Drinks | Cocktails), May Be a Journey to Get to (Pro/Con)

Oh man! I didn't even look for dessert because the bartender (the blue one) was so mean to me and refuses to talk to me after I asked if she was vegan and she said "yes and no" and I said it's a yes OR no question. 🤣🤣🤣 The old place had deep fried oreos with ice cream but the new kitchen has no deep fryer (like we're not allowed to die young or smth anymore.) But yea, ice cream. Everyone needs ice cream!
