Gelato chain founded 2002 with its first outlet in Darlinghurst. The sorbet flavours and the cones are vegan and palm oil free. Open Mon-Thu 12:00pm-10:30pm, Fri 12:00pm-11:30pm, Sat 11:30am-11:30pm, Sun 11:30am-10:00pm.
I had the chocolate sorbet and a Mardi Gras special flavour with Aperol in it. It was pretty expensive which I guess is normal for Circular Quay, but the scoops were big and tasted great.
Great range of vegan sorbets. Highlight: Salted Coconut with Mango Sorbet, one flavour and vegan as well. Definitely recommend that one especially! Cones are vegan as well.
There are a couple of vegan sorbets available such as raspberry, passion fruit, chocolate, and pandan coconut. Nothing out of this world amazing, it’s what you would expect of a sorbet. Not worth the queue, nor the money. I wish they would try out vegan versions of their more unique offerings.
If you’re in need of an ice cream kick, go to Gelato Blue in Newtown!
Nice ice creams but more vegan flavour needed - Edit
Their ice creams are nice but that’s not where I would go for vegan options as they mostly have sorbets and the salted coconut/ mango ice cream. I prefer other ice cream shops accros Sydney which have more attractive and elaborated vegan ice cream flavours.
Had a scoop of salted coconut mango salsa - oh my gosh. Definitely very high on my favourites list now.
They're not fully vegan but offer a good variety of vegan sorbets.
Loved it.
