Cena piacevole in centro a Lubiana - Edit
Situato in una corte, il ristorante si trova in una posizione centrale ma comunque riparata e intima. Il servizio è stato ottimo, pronto a consigliarci cosa assaggiare. Le porzioni sono abbondanti.

Disappointing experience, unfortunately - Edit
Food was good but overall experience and service was disappointing. Which is a shame given the prices. It was too busy for the one person who was waiting the tables. Who therefore didnt really connect with us. Also we had to wait for everything a long time (and in general I dont mind waiting if I notice it is busy). We were looking forward to a long and relax evening but after we finished our 1 drink and our main dish we left. The food was great though.

Very good food - Edit
We tried the 4-course-menu with the wine tasting (3 wines). The food was very good, some dishes amazing, the wine also tasted good. However, we found that the quality of the service did not match our expectations, given that the menu was 40€ and the wine tasting 16€ per person. When you pay these amounts of money you can‘t have dirty wine glasses or staff that touches glasses at the top and runs around with their cell phone during the service. They were all friendly, but it‘s overpriced for the quality of the service and the portions were a bit small. But we would still recommend to go there to eat, as the food was very good :)

Trendy vegan restaurant - Edit
Tucked away from the main street, Gaudi&Naan offers a fully vegan menu adhering to Ayurvedic principles. Creative options on offer. The food was good, not amazing. Most dishes lacked the depth of flavour that we were hoping for, especially given the prices! However, worth a visit. The juice marble ribs were very good.

Great meal from "Classics Menu" - Edit
Good service, tasty food, good atmosphere. We hadn't booked, but eating inside rather than on the terrace was fine. Very much enjoyed the meal and a beer (even if the beer was American-style, at least it was a Slovenian brewery, super taste)

Excellent food - Edit
We tried a cauliflower steak and a summer bowl and they were both great! Portions were good, we also found dome space for dessert. I recommend cashew cheesecake. It was lovely, velvet, sweet and fruity-sour. Black coffee was also great, very aromatic with flavours of nuts.

Stunning Refined Vegan Dining - Edit
Split the 6-course Tasting Menu and Wine Pairing between two of us. It was exploratory and delicious in turn. We loved specific dishes (the spinach gnocchi!) so much we came back the next night! The server was also fun and conversant, adding details where they could.

Wir hatten Glück ohne Reservierung Freitag Abend einen Tisch zu bekommen. Es war ein schönes Ambiente mit recht viel Auswahl an klassischen Gerichten - vegan style.

Delightful surprise - Edit
We were hungry and didn't do a lot of research other than looking for a vegan place to eat, so we were under the impression to find Indian food here (given the name). Naturally, the restaurant took us by surprise. The interior is modern and lovely, and the food is out of this world! We had the cauliflower steak and cabbage rolls, both was exquisite. Overall great dinner experience, we would definitely come again!

Overcharged for undercooked food - Edit
One of the worst vegan restaurants I've been to. They told us it was fine to come at 8pm, when we arrived the chefs looked annoyed to see us as they clearly couldn't be bothered. The food was rushed, completely undercooked, the vegetables were raw and the cauliflower dish in particular was disgusting (mushy cauliflower with raw lentils in a watery mash of something unidentifiable and no taste at all - I don't even think they used salt). One of the worst dishes I've ever had. Small portions yet very expensive. The waitress tried to charge us for a drink we didn't have, as well as charging us for a more expensive wine as apparently they didn't have the one we ordered and she swapped it without asking us. One of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant for a long time - all with a hefty price tag! Really gutted as we wanted to treat ourselves to a nice meal.

Had the pepper steak with mashed potatoes and caramelised vegetables. My first experience with juicy marbles, it did not disappoint. The dish could have wanted for more potatoes

Haute Vegan Cuisine - Edit
Although expensive, it's definitely worth every cent. We went there for a tasting menu. 6 courses if I'm not mistaken. Everything was interesting and delicious. Very friendly staff too. I can't afford to go there often - but I know where I'm celebrating my next birthday. :)

Great steak! - Edit
Had a lovely meal here. Waiter was very friendly, steak was delicious. They’d run out of a lot of starters, but the ones that were left were still very good. Also had a great wine! Desserts were incredibly small though.

We tried the 3-course lunch menu and then, also booked a table for dinner (6-course menu) the same day. The food is outstanding and worth every cent. Probably the best vegan food we ever had. 100% recommended

Cosy atmosphere and tasty food - Edit
We had the following items:
Read more1) Lunch menu (3 courses, 22€)
- Carrot & ginger soup
- Roasted cauliflower
- Meat ball & sweet potato mash
- Lemon cake with berry sauce
2) Carrot & ginger soup
3) Saraswati house curry
4) Mango lassi & Mango spinach smoothie
The soup was nice and very smooth, although the ginger taste was stronger than the carrot. I love ginger, but a better balance between the two flavours would have made it even better. (8/10)
The roasted cauliflower was accompanied by a parsley & pine nut pesto and a marinated cherry tomato. My wife loved this dish, and it was indeed very good. (9.5/10)
The (huge) meat ball was surprisingly good. That’s because it didn’t try to taste like meat. The chef obviously put in a lot of thought into making the taste of the meat ball stand out in the minimalist design of this dish. The sweet potato mash was smooth and creamy, but could have had a stronger sweet potato taste. (9/10)
The lemon pie was equally tasty. The berry sauce was strong and sweet, and complemented the pie very well. (9/10)
The Saraswati House Curry was copious and full of flavour. It came with basmati rice, avocado and a vegan yoghurt sauce (tzatziki?). My wife would have liked it a bit more spicy (personal preference). It surely filled us up! (9/10)
The mango lassi and mango spinach smoothie were both very nice: creamy, well-balanced tastes. (9.5/10)
There is a good reason why this restaurant has such good reviews. The food clearly shows the chef’s skill. The dishes excel in simplicity, diversity and taste.
Pros: Honest, flavourful dishes, Cosy atmosphere, Friendly waiter
Cons: None.

A great fully vegan dinner in this beautiful city. A good range of delicious options. I went for a local dish of sarme which was delicious. The restaurant is in a bustling area but set a little back in a courtyard. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

Amazing - Edit
The food served at Gaudi&Naan is superb. I had the Saraswati house curry which came with avocado, black basmati, raita and banana leaf. It was delicious. All wines are local and also delicious. The staff are very knowledgable of the food they are bringing you and of the wines also. I would highly recommend visiting Gaudi&Naan when in Ljubljana.
