Fabulous vegan Mexican meal in Barcelona - Edit
On of the best Mexican meals I have ever had. Would never know it was vegan. Good selection of gluten free options as well. Wish we lived near it so we could eat there on a regular basis.

Pretty good food. I tried the flautas and 2 types of tacos. To one of them they added a note that it isn't spicy, which was a huge lie. I cried a bit. :)) But the chili used had a very interesting taste, until my taste buds died.

As dessert we had the apple crumble, which was a bit simple but delicious.
In any case, food and service were great, so anyone wanting to have vegan mexican food should go there!

We had a menu including a starter, a main dish, a beverage and a dessert for littler over 10€ which is definately a good price. Everything was very delicious and my bowl for the main dish was definatley enough for me. However, my girlfriend was still hungry after her tacoes which were the size of a starter.

Mexican food has a lot of naturally vegan options, but it’s rare to be able to enjoy, as a vegan, traditionally meat and dairy heavy options when eating in a restaurant. We ordered the nachos, with a delicious, rich potato “cheese” that looked amazing and tasted even better. I had the naked burrito bowl, and the combination of flavours was superb - it was spicy, creamy, sour, nutty and the portion size was decent.
Read moreAs for ambience - the restaurant has a nice, trendy, effortlessly cool vibe. It’s quite a small space, although not cramped, rather cosy. Located in the trendy area of Gracia, it’s very popular.
Everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. You could see your meal being prepared whilst you waited, which was a nice touch.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Barcelona and fancy innovative vegan dishes.

We came across this place by a happy accident. Friendly quick service in a small but busy restaurant . The best guacamole we've ever had ! Quinoa salad bowl particularly excellent. Really recommend you give it a try.

I highly recommend Gallo Santo. They have a wide range of options on the menu, something for everyone. I was the only vegan in a group, and the others said they would gladly go back if they were in Barcelona again. I had the Naked Burrito bowl, which was delicious. We were able to watch our food being prepared and cooked. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the chefs and waiting staff are all very pleasant and helpful. And, they also serve cocktails!

Gallo Santo is a cute little all vegan, Mexican restaurant in the Gracia neighborhood. The owner is from Mexico, though not vegan. We had a tasty meal there but portions are on the small side compared to other places we ate in Barcelona.

I only have positive stuff to say about this place. The place is super cute and cozy, makes you feel like staying there sipping cocktails for hours. The waitress was so lovely and recommended drinks and dishes like she knows exactly what you fancy, even if yourself cannot choose cause everything on the menu looks so good! The food was fresh and delicious, you could feel everything was made with love and the mix of flavours was very exotic and spot on. You even notice little details like paper straws instead of plastic, which makes you feel like they really care about environmental issues as well as the quality of the food and the experience of the guests. I definitely recommend this place, very lovely experience!
