Chocolate Fix - Edit
The truffle I had was delicious and a little unique, but I have already forgotten what flavor of veg. ice cream I had and I got a sorta blah review from someone else of the hot chocolate (but that could be just that it was out of the ordinary!). It was not crowded at all when we were there and service was fast and staff were pleasant.

Eh - Expensive & Just Okay - Edit
I had high hopes for a chocolate shop with vegan options, but wasn’t really wowed. My husband and I split the vegan pana cotta and cold sipping chocolate in the shop, then got a 6-pack of truffles to go. The pana cotta was good, but had a strange fake vanilla taste. Sipping chocolate was VERY rich - it comes in a small glass and we couldn’t finish it between the two of us. The truffles were pretty bitter and just… weren’t something I felt like going back to the box for (and they were a whopping $18 for a 6 pack). I chose some Sjaaks candy I bought from the co-op over these truffles for a dessert tonight. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend.

Vegan hot chocolate - Edit
The vegan hot chocolate is delicious. Definitely on the richer/more bitter side (so if you like dark chocolate, you would like it, kids may not). Cute shop that has a few other vegan pastry options as well.

There's a reason for the line out the door - Edit
The only downside is the wait, but it's oh-so worth it. Good coffee and tea, but the chocolate is definitely the star. Better chocolate has been reported in small American cities, but not by reliable witnesses.

A must go at least once - Edit
Yummy! They have a growing menu of vegan chocolates and desserts. They have a really good just plain coffee—I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating right in the center of town. The line is often long, but moves quickly. I wish there were more vegan options, but they have more than they used to and they are all great.

Had a cake, a cookie, and a shake. The shake was definitely the highlight - didn’t actually see it on the menu though!

Best Cookie! - Edit
My partner and I went here before I was vegan, and I was so excited to learn that I could go back as a vegan! I wanted to get their peanut brittle chocolate torte, but they were out (which I think means it must be good if they sold out of it) and instead I got their snickerdoodle cookie. I was a bit disappointed I had to get a cookie, but after having a bite I was not as disappointed anymore. The vegan options are limited, but delicious and I want to go back to get that peanut brittle torte. They were super busy and social distancing was hard because everyone was really wanting their chocolate. The line was long, but to me it was worth the wait because we weren't in a hurry. They had outdoor seating and indoor seating, which was really cool. The vibe of the place is always awesome, who doesn't like chocolate.

Yummy Vegan Options! - Edit
This place offers a small variety of vegan options: most dark chocolate bars, the Buddha liquid truffle and drinking chocolate, olive oil chocolate cake, and 6 truffles. I had the chocolate cake and Buddha liquid truffle, and it was blissful. I only wish they offered the Buddha liquid truffle in different flavors, like the pistachio rose and lavender.

Just OK - Edit
My husband is obsessed with chocolate so when I saw this place on Yelp I knew we would have to check it out while in Asheville. From the reviews and pictures online I knew that the line can get crazy so we decided to play it by ear. We were walking by after lunch and didn't see a crowd outside so we thought we should go then and just get something to go. When we got closer we could see a place to stand in line outside and an employee was controlling the crowd by allowing a certain number of people in at a time. We got in line behind about 4 other people. After a couple of minutes the line behind us had become very long. So, we were happy we stopped when we did! We didn't have to wait long before we were allowed inside. While waiting to order we looked at the menu. I was thrilled to see that they had several vegan options including a cake, cookie, ice cream, and truffles. They also carry coconut milk and soy milk. We ordered their vegan olive oil chocolate cake and a London fog latte with coconut milk. The cake was very rich but not too heavy or overly sweet. My husband liked it and ended up eating both my piece and his. I thought the cake was tasty but a little too average and dry. The latte was great and perfect for the cold weather. Overall, we enjoyed what we bought and appreciate their vegan options. However, I don't think it lived up to the hype. The service, on the other hand, was above average! Everyone was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Delicious! - Edit
A surprisingly large pool of vegan desserts to choose from. The truffles are really good, but it's a little disappointing that some of the flavors I wanted to try don't come in vegan form. There were two different types of vegan ice cream (not sure if that's normal) and both were delicious! The olive oil cake was decadent, but the tiniest bit dry for my taste. The service is hit or miss, which is why it got 4 instead of 5 stars. Some of the employees seem to be a little bothered by customers. But definitely worth checking out if you're in Asheville!

Tasty vegan ice cream! - Edit
I was very happy to see they had several flavors of vegan ice cream, and you could get vegan hot chocolate. They had a great selection of lots of desserts and the line was out the door, even on a snowy day. The vegan ice cream (I tried the chocolate buddha, and toasted coconut) was very good - coconut was my favorite.

The strawberry balsamic truffle was awesome! So were the other two that I tried. They only have 6 choices of truffles though. They also had a vegan cake and some vegan siping chocolate. Staff wasn't super friendly.

Vegan Truffles!! - Edit
I planned to try the chocolate olive oil cake but the line for the cafe was ridiculous. They had a side shop with a reduced menu - mostly truffles and ice cream. I was fulling only expecting 1 vegan truffle option but to my surprise they had 7 total vegan flavors of truffles. Got a box of 6 to pick (almost) one of each. Runs about $13 for a 6box. They're delicious!

I always appreciate a place that specifies vegan options. I had the vegan hot chocolate. It was a bit thicker than I had expected, but it was so good. It's fair trade chocolate. Good company. Long lines, but great service.

Vegan Chocolate Cake - Edit
Went to French Broad for the Theros Olive Oil Vegan Chocolate Cake on our trip to Asheville over Thanksgiving. It was good, the raspberry puree on the plate helped to add a little extra something and to moisten it up. Sit upstairs, it is much quieter. Expect long lines to order, it's very popular!
