Cozy Café with Activist Spirit - Edit
I was warmly recommended this café by a friend and finally got to try it. On our first visit, the selection of vegan cakes was quite small, which really depends on the day and the time. I had a pistachio cake - nothing extraordinary, but still tasty. We also shared a potato Flammkuchen, which was genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, I really didn’t enjoy the matcha latte at all: it was very watery and the matcha quality and amount were clearly lacking.
Read moreOn my second visit, I chose a chai latte instead, which I liked much better. I also grabbed the last almond croissant of the day - a bit dry, but still very enjoyable. The café itself is quite spacious, with lots of cozy corners and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I honestly wish I had known this place when I was still living in Marburg, because I would have definitely become a regular.
What I especially appreciate is the clear activist spirit: flyers, stickers, and posters in the windows promoting events like Louisa Schneider’s live show. The staff are very friendly, and I’m happy to come back.

ah it's really such a shame sometimes when you can't give a non vegan establishment 5 stars, because Frau Friedrich is incredibly vegan friendly and would really deserve them. I can't believe I have missed out on this gem until now, it's definitely going to be my favorite café in Marburg from now on! It's not central but in a very beautiful part of town that is easy to reach by foot, lots of tables outside but also two rooms inside with many seats (still its possible to not get a seat since its that popular). Not only is majority of their cakes vegan and very creative, 90% of their icecream flavors are vegan, they vegan croissant and other pastries and ofc meals such as carrot lax ciabatta and flammkuchen. Incredibly delicious, fair prices for big portions, and a very beautiful atmosphere with pretty flower tableware. The only downside is that you can wait for your food for a long time, but that's also understandable since it's so full. I want to tey everything they offer! The carrot lax ciabbata was incredibly delicious, though so huge that I'd recommend only ordering it to share (of course you can also take leftovers to go). I really like their flammkuchen as well. The matcha latte and chai latte I personally wouldn't recommend, they're a bit watery and don't have enough flavour. The regular café latte & cappuccino I like though.

The vegan cakes were clearly labelled. I had a vegan Cheesecake with blueberry topping and can really recommend it.

a really cute café a little away from the city center in a pretty, and quiet neighborhood. they had a good vegan selection with vegan cakes, "flammenkuchen" but more like pizza and ice cream. I had the vegan tofu Bahn mi which was so delicious, 100% recommend!

Geweldige Plantbased Belevenis - Edit
Ja, het is (wellicht nog) geen volledig Vegan restaurant, maar een groot deel van de kaart is Vegan en er wordt met veel liefde en aandacht gekookt. Tjonge, jonge wat hebben wij zitten smullen van de Vegan Croissant, de Vegan Flamkuche, de Vegan Kartoffel und Salade, de verschillende Vegan gebakjes en vooral ook de vriendelijkheid en warme uitstraling van het etablissement en vooral het Team. Marburg is een mooie stad, Frau Friedrich - aan het parkje net buiten het centrum - is op zich al de moeite van de reis waard. 4 Sterren omdat ze (nog) niet helemaal Vegan zijn.
