Dreamy ice cream/ no bathroom - Edit
This is the ice cream of my dreams but I stopped going last summer when I tried to bring my elderly mom here and they wouldn't give her bathroom access. I'm sure it sucks to service a restroom in this area, but I'm feel strongly that it's irresponsible to serve finger food in a community setting without offering people the possibility of handwashing, among other reasons.
Read more(They will direct you to walk out and around through a few doors to the building's shared restroom, which kind of defeats the point of washing your hands.) If someone mentions that this has changed, I'll come right back.

Stopped in Frankie and Jo's on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Just needed a little something sweet. Ordered the Salty Carmel Ash. Wonderful flavor, texture and mouthfeel. Absolutely recommend.

An entirely plant-based ice cream shop that just doesn't miss. They have good quality ingredients and it shows in their unique flavors. The cashier was very friendly and offered as many samples as we wanted. I tried the chaga fudge and knew it was the one for me! I didn't know mushrooms, coffee, and chocolate would work so well but this spot has done it. I tried samples of their other flavors which were outstanding as well! The waffle cone also has a rich and distinct flavor that I enjoyed with the chaga fudge. 10/10 dessert spot.

absolutely LOVE how the flavors taste like how they shoul! tahini chocolate tastes like real tahini.. the beet strawberry tastes like beet! but delectibly yummy. 11/10 strawberry milk was so creamy and decedant, cone crumble was the way to go.

Our second time at Frankie and Jos, the first was in university area a year ago. This time we tried miso caramel & cardamom apple flavours in a waffle cone. A bit expensive, but such a nice treat. Really amazing flavours. Friendly staff. Cute spot, love the vibe. Parking was trickier than university spot.

Vegan or not, this is the best ice cream experience you can hope to have. Every flavor is incredibly unique and high quality. Between the two of us we got to try the Strawberry Milk, the Salty Caramel Ash, Chocolate Tahini Supercookie, and the California Cabin, and all of them were incredible, I don’t know how I’d choose a favorite. Also, everything is gluten free, so if that’s at all a consideration for you - you’re good. And if you have a nut or coconut allergy, there’s clear allergen indicators on the menu telling you what you can/can’t have.

Tasty vegan ice cream. I enjoyed the variety of flavors, especially the fresh seasonal options. The waffle cones are very good! The downsides: some flavors' texture is pretty chalky/gritty, and I wish the prices weren't quite so high. We paid $31 for two waffle cones with tax and tip.

Their ice cream is more like gelato to me, which is why I like it so much. I frequented their Ballard location as often as I could, especially during Summer evenings when I could easily walk there. The service was excellent and so kind! I was able to try a bunch of flavors (recommend them all), but my favorites were definitely the Veracruz Vanilla (hurry, they get new flavors the first Wednesday of the month and it’s seasonal), California Cabin, and Strawberry Milk but ended up going with the Beet Strawberry Rose Sorbet because I wanted something summery.
