I have been coming here periodically for a few years now and the setting, feet in the sand at Chaloklum beach, and the service were always excellent, as was the food.

The quality here does come at a price – it's above the average for Thailand – but absolutely worth it.

La raw cake che dovrebbe essere un’esplosione di sapore, non era all’altezza. Abbiamo preso un’altra volta una cosa che avevo letto nelle recensioni, era buonissima. Niente. Non mi è piaciuto nulla, tutto molto scarico di sapore. Forse si devono rivedere le ricette.

A little piece of heaven - Edit
This is my first meal on the island, just arrived today. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with smiles and kind faces from all staff members, then the incredible desserts showcase right upfront immediately grabbed my attention, and then I looked forward and witnessed the most amazing dining area right on this amazing beach at the North part of the island. It’s very apparent that the owners care deeply for every aspect of the experience, and it is my opinion that they are doing an excellent job. I ordered a “virus fighter” freshly pressed juice that was strong, pungent and delicious, then got a recommendation from a staff member for the tempeh wrap, and for dessert had the most amazing passion fruit cheesecake. Everything was top notch, 5 stars all the way. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and it is worth the drive regardless of where on the island you stay. I will be back as there are many other menu items I’d like to try. Great job guys, wishing you continued success for many more years to come.

We ordered off the Koh phangan delivery app and I was so happy to see an all vegan establishment. The food was very nice, we got the tofu balls and mash and the pad Thai. Pad Thai was good but maybe just a tad salty for my taste and was craving some more protein (there was tofu in small chunks). We also got the brownie which was incredible but extremely rich so definitely share between 2!

The starters you are referring to are enough for one person, not needing to order anything else, or they are good to share too.
I’m sorry that you were not impressed with our chocolate ‘pai’, which is often rated as the best brownie people ever tried. But this is the beauty of hosting different people as everyone comes with their own taste so we can only improve when we have a constructive feedback.

A visit to "Foods & Roots" is always a culinary revelation. We've been to this restaurant twice and were overwhelmed both times by the quality and taste of the dishes. Here, food is prepared with dedication, and you can immediately sense that freshness and variety are top priorities.
Our selection included the refreshing "Mediterranean Salad," the hearty "Foods & Roots Salad Bowl," the delicious "Falafel Wrap," the juicy "Lentil Patties," accompanied by a refreshing "Green Monster Smoothie," and the invigorating "Foods & Roots Ice Tea." Everything we tried was not only tasty but also prepared with fresh ingredients. The only note: The "Green Monster Smoothie" could have had a bit more flavor intensity but was still delightful.
The service is remarkably efficient. Drinks were served promptly, the appetizer reached us in just ten minutes, and the main course followed twenty minutes after ordering. The team at "Foods & Roots" is not only quick but also extremely friendly.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is simply fantastic. The decor is inviting, clean, and appealing. A particular highlight is the open kitchen, providing a direct view and appearing equally well-maintained and clean.
In terms of value for money, "Foods & Roots" may be slightly more expensive compared to other Thai restaurants, but considering the top-notch quality of the food and the excellent location right on Chalok Lam Beach, every baht is well invested.
The location of the restaurant is simply perfect. Situated right on Chalok Lam Beach, this place undoubtedly ranks among the most beautiful beaches Koh Phangan has to offer. The breathtaking view and sea breeze significantly contribute to the overall experience.
In summary, I can confidently say that the restaurant "Foods & Roots" on Koh Phangan undoubtedly deserves five stars. We look forward to our next visit and to once again savoring the culinary delights of this place.

I tried one of their burgers with fries in late April. Both were okay but there was no sauce with the fries and food was overall average. Staff is really friendly and the location looks really nice. However, considering the prices there are several better options on the island in my opinion with similar or even cheaper prices. Might go there again to give it another try and will update in case I do.
