Vegan-Friendly Health-Focused Cafe - Edit
Health-focused cafe (next to a skincare clinic) that is known for listing calories / macros. Was pleasantly surprised to discover that the menu has lots of vegan (and mostly allium-free) options, clearly labelled in the menu! But do give a little reminder to the staff when placing your order if you don’t consume egg and dairy, because there are similar vegetarian versions of some of the vegan dishes. There was a small hiccup where the staff served me my vegan order with a poached egg, but they were apologetic and quickly rectified it. This incident aside, the vegan items we ordered were really nutritious and yummy. The Collagen Shiitake Vermicelli Stew had a deep flavourful broth and was packed with wholesome ingredients, while the Shroom Ball Collagen Udon featured Hoshay’s smoky and toothsome mushroom meatballs. I enquired online and verified that the collagen consists of plant derivatives (i.e. plant-based nutrients - vitamins / minerals / amino acids - that enhance our body’s collagen production, rather than collagen itself per se). The drinks also featured konjac balls bursting with fruit juice, with soy and coconut milk options, as well as plant protein powder available. Was keen to try the vegan bingsu (an extremely rare find in Singapore!!!) but unfortunately it was out of stock. Would like to visit again!
