soft waffles and creative menu - Edit
The menu looks very creative and that excites me 🤩. Although I picked Queen Waffle upon the waitress's recommendation and it turned out to be a normal waffle that tasted slightly below average, this place has so much to offer and I'd love to go back. I like my waffles a bit crispy and crunchy whereas FB's waffles were soft and thick. But this is a personal taste, not reflective of a restaurant's quality😄

Food is always nice, staff is always a bit off - Edit
I’ve been to this place many times. The food never disappoints, but there’s always at least one person waiting on the table who’s rude/seemingly annoyed.

Really tasty street food - Edit
Flavour Bastards is a strange one. It has a very cool/rebellious vibe. The waiters are friendly and jokey. There are swear words on the menu. I think the whole place goes out of its way to let you know this is not pretentious food.
Read moreDespite that, the food itself is really well done. It has a lovely heterogeneity to it - one mouthful might be spicy, the next smokey, the next with strong coriander notes... This might sound like a mess but honestly it really works. We had the tacos and the satay tofu, and both were an absolute whirlwind of flavour.
The setting is nice. Kind of like a bar, really. Two mains and a side to share came to 330 DKK which is bit pricy but not the worst in Copenhagen. Overall, this won't be for everyone, but if it sounds like it's for you then I can guarantee it won't disappoint.

Gorgeous place - Edit
This is a fab little vegan restaurant. Really friendly and cheerful staff, who seems genuinely happy if you enjoy the food, and care about the experience. Had the peanut satay tofu and falafels so good I went back the next morning for the tofu scramble w/avo for breakfast. Great coffee too. Well worth the visit

Cozy place - Edit
Friendly staff and nice location, but the food wasnt great… We both made faces eating each dish, because everything was so sour?? 😅 Trust me, I like putting sourness in dishes when I make them, but this was too much… Hope it was a one time thing, because everything else about the place was 👌🏽 Not returning tho

Okay food - Edit
The waffles were kinda tasteless and soggy. Had a LOT of coconut and peanut butter. Managed to finish less than half. The golden milk tasted better cold than hot.
Read moreGotta say I’ve been disappointed with the Copenhagen food scene so far - things look better than they taste, and reviews seem to talk up even some very mediocre food. Lisbon, Berlin and Vienna were WAY better! Even a decade ago, Amsterdam had a better vegan scene!

Rude staff, expensive, tasteless - Edit
Upon entry a girl looked at my pram with disgust, i asked if she had a highchair and she replied "we dont have those type of things here". Ok, my pram folds down, baby can sit on my knee. Reluctantly she found us a table.
Read moreIve never felt so uncomfortable anywhere.
Then theres the food... Tasteless, dry waffles, even my 8 year old said these are disgusting.
I had to ask for sugar for coffee and ask again for cutlery. Seriously, a very miserable waitress.
On a good note the coffee was nice.
We had so much dry, tasteless waffle left over so asked for a take away box.. Surprise!! No takeaway boxes.
All in all, bland, overpriced food.
Im so surprised at the reviews on here, but maybe people don't have many good vegan options here in Copenhagen?
Pros: Vegan, Nice coffee
Cons: Very expensive , Awful, bland food, Terrible wait staff

Popped in here for a brunch. It seemed I was lucky to walk in and get a table so definitely book in advance would be my advice. I’m glad they squeezed me in though as I had a delicious scrambled tofu on toast with tomato and mushrooms.

Superb - Edit
The food was really delicious. The venue was lovely inside, but maybe a little dark and noisy if you like a quiet space. The service was quick too. I was a little disappointed that the evening menu was so small - only three main course options and one dessert option.
Read moreUnfortunately they had a problem with their card machine, which meant I had to go and get cash from the ATM round the corner. The ATM charged £20 to take the cash out so it made the evening very very expensive for us.

Our lucky day - Edit
Last day in Copenhagen …… .. breakfast skipped at the hotel.
Read moreWe therefore took the walk to Nørrebro to have brunch at Flavour Bastards
We found it via HappyCow, and thought it was a place to check out.
Luck was once again with us and we managed to get the last table inside.
While we sat and looked at the menu, we saw what those next to us had ordered - and in bare enthusiasm for how delicious it looked, we made a copycat and ordered exactly the same.
We therefore ended up ordering
"I want it all waffle" and "French toast" to share.
We can well understand why those next to us had ordered this from the menu. Both our eyes and taste buds were stimulated here!
It was really tasty.
The staff was sweet and very welcoming. The decor was hip and had a great vibe.
Next time we go to Copenhagen, we’ll definitely go again for trying some of the other dishes they have on the menu, because it also looked fantastic.
TIP: book a table in advance if you want to eat here, several went in vain!

100% plant based - Edit
I was starving when I arrived in Copenhagen, and Flavour Bastards was one the first vegan places on my lost, so I decided to go straight to them. Very nice place, everything on the menu is 100% plant based. They have many options, so it was difficult to choose, but I ended up going with the Balkan Burger, which I highly recommend! The staff was also very friendly and welcoming! If you have to visit Copenhagen, this place is a must! Thank you!
