Soul Food, Sweet Tea, and Kool Aid

I really enjoyed my meal of okra, black eyed peas, rice and collard greens with sweet tea while dining under the mist on their outdoor patio. I was so relaxed and full afterwards. The soul food definitely did what it was supposed to lol. I look forward to returning. They have a small but satisfying vegan menu.

Pros: Nice outdoor dining area, Tasty food, Refreshing drinks

Good but could be better…

The vegan options were good, no complaints there…but if I’m being honest, I was jealous of the omni options! I want vegan chicken and waffles, vegan mac n cheese, vegan dessert options, etc. But with that being said, the staff were amazing and the food was tasty! So the fried green tomatoes aren’t normally vegan, but they veganized them for us when we asked. That was the big takeaway here, ask what they can veganize beyond what’s on the vegan menu because they will accommodate if they can. The place was packed at lunch hour on a weekday, so you may want reservations. “Auntie Pearl” chatted with us at our table and she might have been my favorite part. 🥰
