Excellent vegan options - Edit
There were so many vegan options that we had to start with a taste test of their moles before we could order anything else.
Read moreI loved all the moles we sampled, but in the end I chose the vegan Oaxaca enchiladas, which we excellent! Some of the best enchiladas I’ve ever had.
Service was really friendly too.
My husband had the Amarillo mole with yucca. Also excellent.
I highly recommend this place if you want some authentic mole. I wish I could eat here all the time.

Delicious, friendly, dozens of vegan options - Edit
Fiesta Oaxaca is one of the top vegan-friendly options in Santa Fe. While not purely vegan (they also serve meat), almost every dish on the extensive menu can be made vegan on request, and most of those items are clearly marked on the menu. (Note that some of the menu items that are not marked vegan-friendly with the green leaf icon can still be made vegan on request.) Best of all, this isn’t a vegan-by-subtraction situation, but rather vegan-by-substitution: they have house-made (not processed) vegan “meat” and vegan cheese, both of which add a little something and are not overemphasized or heavy.
Read moreEverything we’ve tried is delicious, and the mole dishes are particularly flavorful.
In particular, we recommend the Tamales with Mole de Oaxaca, the Chile en Nogada, and the Enchiladas with Mole Verde (all of which can be prepared vegan on request). They make good vegan quesadillas as well (try it with flor, de calabazas, huitlacoche, or poblano). If you’re with a group, it’s worth considering the mole sampler, which lets you taste all of the different moles with chips for dipping. They also make a great vegan horchata and several vegan desserts (three as of mid-2023).
Unfortunately one of our old favorites, the sopecitas, is no longer on the menu, but the Taquitos Dorados are a worthy starter for a group, and the Garnachas Veracruz are an option one doesn’t see often.
There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, and the service has always been exceptionally warm and helpful.

So many options - Edit
You know what it's like when you go out to eat and there's more than just salad or avocado toast and you literally don't know what to order because you're not used to having options? That was this place. So much to choose from I was almost suspicious about if the vegan options were really vegan.
Read moreI had the enchiladas Rojas and we had the taquitos. Both delicious. My non vegan husband tried a poblano and a chicken quesadilla to compare and loved the vegan one. He didn't like the chicken one and says the vegan one had more flavor.
Great margaritas and atmosphere!

I asked what he could make vegan and he took my to the wall of vegan awards lol. I got the stuffed poblano with cream sauce and was pleasantly surprised! Savory, filling and good topped with their house salsa picante.

Best vegan mexican food in New Mexico! - Edit
Most of the menu could be made vegan and all we tried was delicious. We were not familiar with south Mexican cuisine and loved every bit of it. Service was friendly and fast. We will definitely come back again.

Five-star experience as a vegan diner - Edit
Dinner here was amazing. I understand why Happy Cow only allows 4 stars for restaurants that serve non-vegan options, but this is a case where we absolutely had a 5-star dining experience as vegans.
Read moreThe menu is huge; the list on their website seems to be only a portion of what they actually serve - tons of vegan dishes, and lots more that can be made vegan by request. I'm pretty sure I could eat here 25 times, try something different every time, and not get tired of it. It was fun to explore southern Mexican cuisine - lots of unique options that you wouldn't find on a stereotypical American-Mexican menu, including many varieties of mole and even things like huitlacoche.
We enjoyed the chile en nogada, the enchilada roja, and the taquitos dorados. I'm not sure what the vegan shredded "chicken" option is, but it was delicious and I wouldn't be surprised if it was house-made. Some of the best refried beans I've ever had.
The portion sizes are on the smaller side, but not unreasonable; we paid a bit of a premium for the quality, and it was worth it.
Our server was super friendly and very happy to help with recommendations (again, the menu is HUGE!) We felt like first-class diners all the way through, and we all know how rare of an experience that is at a restaurant that isn't vegan-exclusive.
If you're considering Fiesta Oaxaca vs. any other option, go here. You won't be disappointed.
Pros: delicious food; unique southern Mexican cuisine, huge variety of vegan options, friendly, knowledgeable staff/easy to order vegan

Great - Edit
We had great, kind, friendly service. The food was amazing! We had vegan tacos and mole enchiladas. We loved that most things on the menu could be made vegan, it was clearly marked, and the server was super knowledgeable about the food. He gave us a selection of sauces - green, red, and spicy red - and all were delicious. The mole was super rich and tasty. The meat substitute was good, fresh, didn’t seem like a packaged product. There was a little cheese sprinkled on the beans, so you might want to remind them if you don’t want that. We sat outside on the patio, and the inside seemed lovely, too. This was a nice experience and food we were happy to find in Santa Fe.

Awesome food. Smaller sizes - Edit
Lots of things can be made vegan. No separate vegan menu. I got a stuffed pepper and it was delicious. Could've been a bit more quantity but it was well worth it. Vegetarian friends had quesadillas and liked them. They let them get one of each quesadilla. Sangria was pretty good.

MY daughter ordered the mole assortment. It was fantastic and vegan. I am a vegan because meat gives me lumps on my fingers. I would return to Santa Fe ust for their moles.

Best Mexican vegetarian/vegan food I’ve ever had! - Edit
We stumbled upon this unique Mexican restaurant for dinner during our trip to Santa Fe. We were so pleasantly surprised by the variety of vegetarian/vegan dishes including a favorite— vegetarian burrito with Oaxacan molé sauce which was out of this world! They seem to have figured out a proprietary vegan filling that was both healthy and savory. This place is a must visit for vegans/vegetarians when you visit Santa Fe!

Amazing vegan options - Edit
The restaurant serves meat but the default menu is vegan. Almost everything is made vegan, even the tamales, and you can add a vegan protein like tofu or mock chicken, and vegan cheese. That being said, the menu does have animal meat on it and they don't bill themselves as plant-forward. I've been vegan for 15 years; my husband for 30 . We're huge foodies. This place impressed us. We tried two different enchiladas, both of the tamales (one is made of yucca!), a Mexican pizza with mock chicken and chorizo called Tlayuda. The rice alone was so yummy. The entree that sent our heads spinning was the chili relleno. The waiters were so kind and helpful (we ate there both days we were in town!) and you could see the pride and love for food in the way they talked about and served our order. Love this place.

The menu has many, many vegan options marked clearly. Almost all items can be made vegan. They make their own fake meat, plus they have vegan cheese! Super delicious, we really enjoyed our meal, so glad we gave ‘em a try. The Oaxacan Tlayuda was super awesome. THANK YOU Fiesta Oaxaca!

Delish & lots of options - Edit
LOTS of options and super delish. Being a oaxcan restaurant I wanted to try the mole ( never had before). It was super tasty. The balance of the flavors was nice . My partner got the enchiladas and loved them. Yes they’re a little pricier but it’s right downtown near the old town square so what do you expect. Tons of options and they’re clearly knowledgeable. Would definitely visit again.

I was surprised not only to see a vegan menu, but their regular menu with many listed "vegan option available." They have their Happy Cow sticker proudly on the door. Their vegan protein is a mix of tofu, soy crumbles, and mushrooms. Both our orders were phenomenal and some of the best vegan Mexican food we've had. Menu clearly labeled. You really can't go wrong.
