Point and pick - Edit
I came here around 10am looking for something tasty for breakfast. This is not really breakfast food, but it is vegan versions of traditional Puerto Rican food and other vegan dishes.
Read moreAll the dishes are premade and behind a counter. The lady explained everything to me in Spanish and I'm learning Spanish so I found that really helpful. I don't know if they could tell you what it is in English. But you can just point at what you want and they will box it up for you (even if you are eating here they will box it up).
I got a bunch of things that looked really good. I got a cornbread style food that was stuffed with veggies. I really loved the flavor and texture of that. I wish I remembered it's actual name but I would definitely get that again.
I also got a piece of the lentil lasagna because that also looked incredible to me. It was such a good flavor. It reminded me of the pastas I have made at home and I could definitely add more lentils into my life. That was large and very filling.
I got yellow plantains and those were sweet (not too sweet). I haven't had plantains in a while. I used to make different plantain dishes when I lived in Houston, but now that I live in Pennsylvania I hardly see them at the store. That was a nice treat and I highly recommend getting a serving of those.
The last thing I got was a soy patty with grilled onions and peppers. That was good, but not amazing. I will try something else next time. I'm happy for the soy protein, but I would like something with a little more flavor. It wasn't bad, but just wasn't super exciting either.
Overall I highly recommend this place for a meal, especially for lunch! There are lots of options and you can choose whatever looks good.
The pricing is listed on a piece of paper at the start of the counter, but unless you know what everything is it will be hard to figure out how much it costs. If you speak Spanish it will be significantly easier to figure out, but it isn't a deal break. Be prepared to pay about $25 per person.
Pros: Lots of options , Everything is vegan
Cons: Prices aren't obvious

Excellent lunch - Edit
We went for lunch right before our flight home. The dishes on the buffet that day were listed on a separate placard. The folks working were very nice and did their best to explain the various dishes and pricing for us.

Variedad de comidas, aunque dice vegetariano en el nombre, es comida 100% vegana. La misma dueña te atiende, muy amable y servicial y está al pendiente de todo.

🚨 READ IF YOU’RE VEGAN - Edit
I recently decided to try this place and so I sent a family member to pick-up an order. I ordered arroz, habichuelas, and a soy pattie. However, after learning that their soy patties are from the BOCA brand, I decided to call the restaurant to confirm that the patties they use are the vegan ones. BOCA has both vegan and vegetarian patties. The veggie ones contain milk and cheese culture (ingredients are specified on BOCA’s website).
Read moreEmployees were unable to confirm that the soy patties they serve are vegan.
My family member was already on his way with our order so there was nothing we could do. I chose not to eat it and barely touched any of the habichuelas because I’ve had bad experiences with cross-contamination before and didn’t want to risk it. I hate food waste so I ended up giving it to a non-vegan family member.
It’s a shame but I’m not risking ordering from them again. Things should be clearly labeled and employees should have the knowledge to confidently confirm that all of their products are vegan, since it’s already confusing that they’re supposedly a vegan restaurant but they have “vegetarian” in their name.

I agree that a restaurant should know whether their food products are vegan or not. We've eating here once and were quite pleased with the food. We asked, and the employee did state all the food was vegan.

disappointed - Edit
I am surprised a reviewer called this place 'organized'. Nothing is labelled, and unless you're familiar with puertorican food terms in particular it was very difficult to figure out what things are or how you're supposed to order. There's a menu above the bar that probably has 200 items on it, but they're not the same things on the counter-service display nor is it clear how many items you're supposed to choose. (e.g., no signs that say 'combo = pick 1 entree + 2 sides and a salad, $13). So you have to rely on the staff to tell you what everything is, but they talk really fast and mumble in Spanish so we were pretty lost despite me speaking Spanish. Nearly all the side dishes are heavy starches (multiple potato/plantain/rice options), but no perpared healthy vegetables except raw 'salads' at the end with a small amount of dressing drizzled on top.. The food we got (lasagna, veggie burger in sauce, various plantain side dishes, shredded carrots and shredded purple potato which looked --but didn't taste-- like beets(?)) were all extremely bland. And to boot it seemed pricey, but served in a styrofoam container with plastic silverware. Also, some random guy (the owner?) chastised my partner for not speaking Spanish and just kept shouting "buen provecho" over and over even after we said 'gracias' and smiled several times in response -- it was really awkward and I couldn't wait to leave. I feel like this is a great place for locals who can figure out what they like and how to order the tastiest things over several visits, but not tourists who are coming for the first time.

Buffet style vegan food w/ a Spanish twist! - Edit
Imagine your favorite Spanish/Mexican restaurant but with a full vegan buffet… that’s this place! A “mom & pop” style restaurant with wholesome feel! The food was good, the portions were big, & the staff were so kind! The staff didn’t know much English but was still able to communicate with the help of a translation app.
