Disappointing - Edit
I found the mac and cheese bland. The breakfast burrito had all the fillings in the middle and just tofu scramble for quite a bit of the ends which I didn’t like enough to eat. The haggis, chutney and cheese toasty had almost no cheese flavour and the chutney dominated so it got over sweet.
Read moreThe price is very reasonable. The service was really friendly. The space is lovely but they do a lot of delivery trade so there’s constant riders in and out, leaving the door open. They don’t allow customers to use the toilet, despite having more than ten seats so being required to, which feels a bit mean spirited.
Overall, I wouldn’t go out of my way again for it. Which is a shame, looking at the menu and reviews I thought it would be good and I want all vegan places to be good.

Übersichtliche Karte mit vor allem Sandwiches und Burger. Geschmacklich war es ganz gut, vor allem die Suppe des Tages.

The best vegan coronation toastie - Edit
If you used to eat coronation chicken like me before going vegan you need to try this one. It is so tasty and really brought me back to my childhood.

Yum! - Edit
Just stopped by for a late lunch, and once again, it was outstanding. I chose the special: a fantastic breakfast burrito. Feeling indulgent, I also ordered a side of mac and cheese. This place consistently impresses with its delicious food, wonderful staff, and daily specials that never disappoint.

Amazing haggis sandwich and mac 'n' cheese! - Edit
We had the haggis sandwich, the mac 'n' cheese, and the large Caesar salad, and the taste of everything was very good! The atmosphere of the small place was quite nice, the staff super friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend it!

Great “tuna” melt, cookies and staff - Edit
Myself and my wife arrived and had our bikes but were sadly going to just do takeaway as we didn’t have locks with us but the lovely girl behind the till let us bring our bikes in, as it was quiet.
Read moreI had the tuna melt toaster and it was amazing. Been at least 8 years since having a tuna and this tasted great. My wife had the cheese, pineapple and bacon. I tried it, and it was fantastic!

Finally got to try FacePlant!! I LOVED the Kimcheese, it was so tasty and full of flavour, I’d definitely recommend it 😍 Also tried the Reuben, it was okay but not as good as the Kimcheese for my tastebuds

Incredible! - Edit
We visited here twice during our stay in Edinburgh because we loved it so much! We tried the haggis melt and weekly special (breakfast sandwhich) on our first visit - both AMAZING and served fresh and piping hot :)) + very generous portions! The second time we tried the anti monarchy coronation chicken, which we were again impressed by. Reasonable prices for an increasingly expensive city. Definitely will return on our next trip!!

Great for lunch - Edit
Cute little place. Most people were ordering sandwiches to go when we were there. We got a kimcheeze grilled sandwich (it’s great and I’m not usually a cheese fan) and a katsu hotdawg on the specials which we also great. They had lots of sweet treats at the counter which I regret not trying

My favorite sandwich place - Edit
I’m a regular here and have made my way through their entire menu and most of their specials. They’re amazing folks! I wish they were open more frequently but I am happy with their food. Just a note there’s no bathroom here, so go to the pub next door or tesco across the street

Amazing cheese! - Edit
Delicious food, cute venue and friendly staff. However prices are a bit steep at £7 or £8 (£10 for breakfast burrito) Good selection of toasties and sandwiches. Baked goods also available (including sad looking cheesecake not in a fridge). Only have filter coffee, and milk is 30p a splash! Take cards. Sit in, takeaway, or delivery.
Read more2025 update - food is still great though prices have crept up. £12 for a the weekly special sandwich, £15 for a chicken crunch wrap. However, it's so smokey in the shop with poor ventilation, that hurts your eyes and makes your hair and clothes smell, so much so that I'd only recommended takeaway rather than sitting in.

Hands Down one of the Best - Edit
I had the lobster roll which was made with hearts of palm. The old bay seasoning made it taste so like the real lobster meat but healthier and less cruel. Even the roll was sliced at top. I added a side of Mac and cheese- oh wow!

Probably could eat here every day. - Edit
Delicious sandwiches. We had the reuben, hot bacon and a side of mac n cheese. All were incredible. After the meal, we also got a special which was the McRib to takeaway. I am not sure if it was because we saved it for later and it sat for hours and got cold before we had it but it was not as good. We would like to try it again fresh and hot.
Read moreStaff was friendly and location is good as it is just a few steps from the tram. The only downside is that the sun streams into the shop and can be blinding. I might have gotten a sunburn. haha.
