Im Erdapfel kann man zwischen verschiedenen Variationen wählen oder man stellt sich, nach belieben eine eigene Ofenkartoffel zusammen. Dabei steht einem das freundliche Team mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Die Ofenkartoffeln werden sehr schön angerichtet und schmecken richtig gut. Vor allem wenn man nur wenig Zeit zur Verfügung hat, wird man hier schnell satt.

i love the idea/concept of using oven baked potatoes as a ‘base’!! the food was delicious and surprisingly filling. they offer all of their dishes as vegetarian as well as vegan. the restaurant has a great location being in the downtown area but in a calmer, almost secluded part of it. big plus: extremely nice staff !!

Not that sophisticated in terms of taste compared to other steamed/puffed potato places I’ve tried and a bit salty at times. However, still quite tasty. You should definitely give it a try if you’re in the neighbourhood. Cheesecake was also not bad.

One of the best jacket potatoes I've eaten and worth the visit. Huge portion and crispy potato skin!! Yum

This place was a welcome discovery. And a very tasty one. The potatoes were delicious and the fillings/toppings on the two we got were soooo tasty. Very easy to change toppings from vegetarian to vegan. Very friendly staff helped with our choices too! It also has a lovely airy eating space which was welcome too!

You get a large potato topped with whichever option you choose to go for. Fresh, tasty ingredients - great value! The only negative I have is that both mine and my friend's potato was warm and not piping hot as we would have expected - something which was very much needed after a cold day walking around Hamburg. At first we thought the toppings (yoghurt etc) had cooled down the potato but found that the deepest bit of the potato wasn't piping hot.

This place is busy around lunch time but they got a perfect workflow in the kitchen so you get your food quickly. Jacket potatoes are delicious. My favourite is the Mexicano. Every dish is vegetarian but you have to tell them when ordering that you want it vegan otherwise they add butter and cheese to the potato. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious food! Very creative take on baked potatoes, I had one with soy hack, chickpeas and cream and it was everything I was promised! Beware that all dishes include cheese by deafault but if you ask it will be switched to vegan cheese. The staff was super nice and also prices low for Hamburg standards! It will be the first place I recommend to anyone going to Hamburg!

Hier gibt es superleckere vegane Kartoffelkreationen zum satt werden und einen wirklich tollen Service. Im Sommer kann man schön draußen sitzen und wenn man Glück hat gibt es zum Nachtisch auch noch ein Stück veganen Kuchen zum Sojalatte, beim letzten Mal waren wir leider zu spät und der Kuchen aus.

We went here around 7 p.m. during the week. The menu already offers some variations of baked potatoes, but if you don't like them, you can put together your own potato. The varieties cost 6-9€ and the own ones start at 5,50€ for a potato with two toppings, each further topping costs extra. We decided for "Dolce Vita" and "Jamaican Dream". Both were very tasty, but for our taste there could have been less toppings and more potato. Especially the sour cream at the Jamaican Dream was a bit much, but that's also a matter of taste. We had big juice spritzers to drink. All in all very recommendable - especially for vegetarians and vegans! The only thing that seemed a bit cheap were the pepper shakers from Lidl that stood on the table. This would look better when filled up, because otherwise it would always remind you of a cheap fast food restaurant.

We had the „Mexicano“ & „Aristoteles“ and it was so nice. Aristoteles is not vegan, because of Feta and sour cream but I exchanged it for soy mince and vegan aioli. We payed 13.50€ in total. Would definitely recommend.

Heavy on the toppings - Edit
I often don't enjoy kumpir because it's a lot of potato and not much else. But at Erdapfel they go heavy on the toppings, and the toppings and sauces are great. I had the Chutney (and the Jamaican Dream sits in my fridge for now), which includes lentils, soy mince, bell peppers, celery and curry sauce. This combination works really well and I love how comparatively rich in protein this is.
Read moreAll potatoes are veganizable, and a sign clearly states which sauces are vegan. You can also make up your own potato creations. The prices are good for the big portion sizes. You can get the meals as take out as well.
