All delicious, thoughtfully presented.
A little more texture in the empanada mix would be welcome but NO lack of flavor & deliciousness

Enjoyed the different flavors and creative menu— good variety from other Portland vegan restaurants. Nice outdoor dining in closed off street due to covid. Cute spot!

Gotta rinse the Q! - Edit
I figured a native chef from South America would know to thoroughly rinse the quinoa before cooking. I am one of the 15% of people who are sensitive to the saponin film that needs to be rinsed off. Loose stool in the morning.
Read moreI should have known this place would be less than expected when I was the only customer there and nextdoor at Güero esa hoppin'. The Q dish said it included garbanzos, and I found both at the bottom of the salad ( not billed as a salad). Chips were insipid. In the end I was still so hungry I had to eat more when I got home.
Pros: Cloth napkins, Friendly service, Nice music
Cons: Not enough food for the price, Quinoa poorly prepared, Food not as billed on the menu

Exquisite ambiance, wonderful food - Edit
It's impossible not to be charmed by this warm, inviting, artful, cozy little restaurant. Especially impressed with the pimentos rellenos, and whatever their house-made moz was in their squash bread. Melty and an absolute joy to taste. The mocktails were lovely as well!

Very delicious - Edit
We tried all three salsas they offer. Each was very fresh and flavorful. The sopapillas con queso were very delicious. We tried four types of empanadas which were great but honestly not worth the price ($26 for 4). Lastly we tried the pastel de choclo which had a great flavor and fresh tasting but I felt it could have used a crunchy element as the entire thing had a mushy texture.

Bust out that credit card - Edit
The food is good but expensive. Maybe it was an off night or something because the staff weren’t as friendly as one would expect from a vegan restaurant. Just my humble opinion.

Amazing Andes inspired meal - Edit
This may be my last dinner in Portland as I am leaving tomorrow around 8:30 PM for San Francisco. I am so happy that I got recommendations to eat here. This vegan restaurant has the most amazing South American food that is inspired from the Andes.
Read moreI ordered a non-alcoholic drink, a small plate, a medium plate and a grande plate and then I finished off with the most luscious dessert. I am so glad I came here. This meal was simply outrageous. The flavor profiles were original and exciting to my palate. I want to get the recipe for the last dish, Charquican. I wonder if Chef will share it.
Pros: Vegan gf options, Flavorful food, Wonderful staff
Cons: Not a thing!

Went to Epif for happy hour on a day trip to Portland and we loved everything about it.

We got to try all three pebre flavors and absolutely loved them. Also thought the ceviche and empanadas were amazing. Basically I wish I could eat here every day. Also a great atmosphere in the space and friendly staff.

Good effort but fell short - Edit
Just had dinner here. Two of us ordered some chips and salsa, the causa, two empanadas, the charquicán, and the passion fruit cheesecake for dessert. It may sound like a lot of food but it really wasn't. By the time we finished, we were like 6.5/10 full and could've easily shared another main dish.
Read moreThe food was good but not great. The cheesecake was the best followed by the empanadas. The rest tasted a bit flat and boring. But I don't blame them given how meat-centric South America food is as a whole. There's not a lot they can do with plant-based ingredients while also staying true to the region. That said, I did feel our meal was slightly overpriced for what we got at $54 sans tips.
I think they deserve credit for trying to tackle a cuisine that is widely known to be not veggie-friendly. But with all the great vegan options in Portland, I'm in no hurry to come back and give it a second try.
Pros: effort
Cons: overpriced, boring flavors

Tell Your Friends - Edit
I loved everything about this place. The wait staff was educated about the food and attentive. The price points were reasonable. The drinks were delicious. We shared about 8 dishes family style and they were all incredible. The "cheese" cake and sweet empanadas were so good! I highly recommend this restaurant. Note: I dined with 2 meat eaters (one of which is a chef) and a vegetarian and all of them loved the food and the atmosphere. Bring your friends. This place is fantastic.

I've been here a number of times for cocktails and for dinner twice. The menu isn't extensive and is pretty carb heavy, but I found it delicious. The empanadas were perfect. The salsas were light and brightly flavored. I look forward to trying other dishes!
