Great vegan Chinese - Edit
My favorite vegan Chinese spot. I've been eating here for several years now and it's always delicious and consistent. Extensive menu, good portions, and reasonable prices.

Interesting Veggie Duck - Edit
The restaurant was clean and true to its cruelty-free mission. There were signs reminding you to not bring in any animal products and it felt like a very modern restaurant for those not wanting to dine in mom-and-pop shop settings.
Read moreMy partner and I tried ordering a few appetizers that we could take to-go since we weren't super hungry. They sadly said they were out of the Veggie Glutinous Rice which broke my heart, especially since we got there early afternoon.
Instead, we went for their Chili Dumplings and the Veggie Duck, the later of which intrigued me the most. I didn't know quite what to expect when we opened the box and saw the duck. It was essentially bean curd roll with a tangy sauce on the side, so nothing about it really screamed "duck" as I remembered. I definitely say this will be a pass for me moving forward. However, our dumplings were pretty solid as you'd expect from any Chinese restaurant.
Overall, a good spot to check out for vegan/vegetarian Chinese options but definitely stick with the main dishes.
Pros: Animal cruelty free mission is on point, Good takeout options

Great Vegan Chinese - Edit
Despite how busy they were, service was quick and friendly. The waitress was really helpful in choosing our dishes, which were steamed dumplings, taro pumpkin and fatty “pork”, tofu knots, and eggplant and string beans. Everything was delicious, but the stars were the flavorful eggplant and the tofu skin knots, which were sort of like eating chicken skin. The fatty pork was also really good and very different from anything we’d had before.

Delicious! - Edit
The fried tofu was way more salty than expected. The orange chicken was really good, and the vermicelli noodles were interesting but good covered in curry spice. The place smelled of cleaning products but I guess that means they cleaned at least.

Great food, many many options - Edit
We visited recently and really enjoyed the food. There were so many options, it was kind of shocking and difficult to pick entrees for a vegan who is used to few to no vegan options.
Read moreWe were served immediately and didn't have to wait too long for food. One of the waiters was a bit rude, but we weren't bothered. We look forward to being able to visit next time we're in the area.

Average. Nothing special - Edit
The house fried rice was good but the chowmein was a bit soggy and not tasty. I also ordered the drumsticks and did not like it, it had no flavor

Had such a good meal. You need to ask what is vegan but can strongly recommend eating here. The meat substitutes they use are terrific.

Excellent veg food - Edit
I’ve had many different items on the menu and while I do have some favourites none have disappointed me. I lean more towards the items that are not made with the fake meat products although I have had a few and they are fine. The food tends to be very flavourful, fresh and not overly spicy.

My gold standard - Edit
My bf and I went here for lunch on a Friday and were blown away by how delicious everything was. We got the Orange Chicken and Broccoli Beef with rice and hot tea for 2. The sauces were flavorful, the vegetables were ultra-fresh, and the mock meats were out of this world. The star of the show was the "chicken", and for that alone we would make the trip here again. We need more of it! :)

Great vegetarian option in Chinatown - Edit
This place was just what we needed as a family of vegetarians and vegans. Got spring rolls, dumplings, spicy wontons, noodles, fried rice, and tea. Wontons were our least favorite but still good. Recommended.

Great option in Chinatown - Edit
This was our second attempt for Chinese food in one day. Enjoy vegetarian did not disappoint. I had the orange chicken and it was flavorful and fresh. My husband had the king pao tofu and appreciated the level of spice. We also had the sesame balls for dessert and those were warm and delicious!

Very disappointing - Edit
Maybe we ordered the wrong offerings, but we were VERY DISAPPOINTED. Soup was thin, mock goose was a pancake stuffed with some sauteed vegs with an strange sauce -- needed to smother in extra soy sauce. Same for another entry. I've eaten in 100 vegan/veg Chinese restaurants in NY, Philly, Hong Kong, San Fransisco, Beijing and elsewhere in China. In SFO you can do much better elsewhere.

This place is legit! - Edit
We had dinner here two nights in a row and ordered different dishes each time. Everything was great and tasted like the way they should. The big menu can be a blessing and a curse. It's easy to pick something you end up not liking out of 90 items if you don't know your way around Chinese vegetarian food, especially if you solely rely on the English descriptions, which are very plain and basic. Not much ambiance or service to speak of, it's pretty much a walk in, order, eat, pay, and leave kind of place. The food was delicious and we left happy; that's all that mattered!

Must visit in SF! - Edit
We love this place! We went to both locations and had excellent experiences and meals! It’s hard to find a Chinese vegetarian place that makes such delicious food. We enjoyed the orange chicken, combination platter, braised spareribs with daikon radish, veggie duck, and Dan Dan noodles were ALL notable. We’d eat here all the time if we lived here! Also, excellent customer service at both locations! 👌🏼

Best vegan chinese - Edit
This was the best vegan restaurant we tried in SF. We got dumplings, wonton soup, ham chow mein and chicken fried rice. It was all delicious. The area was nice as well. If you are deciding between golden era (a nearby veg rest.) and this restaurant, pick this one. I saw another review saying the restaurant was cold. If you ask the waitress to close the door she will.

We’ve been to a few vegetarian Asian restaurants and this was not one of the best we’ve experienced. There were many options to choose from which was good. However things were pretty heavily sauced and oily. Not a place we’ll go back to.

Very authentic - Edit
Mock Shark fin soup, sea slug, fatty pork - a little too literal for vegetarians, even if fake. Food proportions were good. However the spice level is definitely Thai spicy, be careful when ordering anything spicy even with one chili symbol!
Read moreUpdate: did takeout in March 2021. Food was very good! I do think there are better vegan Chinese restaurants in the bay though, namely Nature in Oakland but it’s solid if you are in Chinatown and looking for a veg place.
