For lunch, serves different salads, soup of the day, and toasts with different toppings such as vegan pepperoni and cheese, feta and tomato. Dogs friendly. Also has art exhibitions, live gigs and other cultural events which change monthly. Open Wed-Fri 09:30-16:00, Sat 09:30-15:00, Sun 11:00-14:00.

Tofu Skewers, Watermelon & the Perfect Pulla - Edit
Encanto Art Café in Helsinki is a charmingly offbeat spot that blends creativity with conscious dining. I visited for lunch on a sunny afternoon, a welcome shift after a spell of rain, and took a seat outside with a colleague. Despite the lunchtime peak, the brief wait was entirely reasonable and well worth it.
Read moreI ordered the salad with tofu skewers, which arrived attractively plated. The salad was fresh and generously portioned, with an unexpected but delightful addition of watermelon slices. The tofu skewers were grilled to perfection - nicely seasoned and satisfying - and the dressing, dotted with black sesame seeds, brought a subtle depth to the dish. It left me comfortably full without being heavy.
With the meal came a complimentary coffee, which I enjoyed alongside a pulla (purchased separately) taken to go. Their pulla never disappoints - soft, delicately spiced, and consistently excellent. It’s one of those rare items that could easily justify a journey across town.
Encanto offers a warm (in the human sense) and unmistakably personal environment. Its artistic flair and independent spirit make it a refreshing alternative to the more formulaic chain cafés around Helsinki. The overall experience balances nourishing food with an atmosphere that feels both welcoming and expressive.

Cozy, calm place for a bite or a coffee - Edit
We stopped for a quick lunch and enjoyed the calm, very local ambiance. The waitress (owner) was very friendly and we were soon talking to some local regulars, which is what I love to do when traveling. Coffee was good and our small lunch was tasty and filling.

Encanto is a really unique place and the staff were lovely and helpful. Some of the flavours in our food were a bit unusual though. Not off but unusual pairings. Maybe just different to what we’re used to. Also there wasn’t anything special about the ingredients used or the quality so only a 3 star from me. They were closing early for an event so maybe I just need to go back another time. Addendum: the cinnamon buns were great (got takeaway).

Toast was really nice, I liked the cheese. The breakfast was small - you can choose either 3 or 4 things including drinks so an orange juice, coffee, rye bread and crossaint altogether were the entire meal. Which was nice but small.

100% vegan and we can eat all the menu offers. Warm croissant and cinnemon bun, blueberry-banana smothie, cacao with oat milk... all you need on a saturday morning. And nice and friendly service.

The place and the staff are lovely, but I was disappointed with the breakfast. The orange juice wasn’t good (came from a bad quality juice box), the slices of bread with toppings were barely ok, the croissant was just ok. The price went 2€ up so 10€ was way too much for that.

Very lovely service and delicious food. The blueberry smoothie was the best I’ve ever had. Salads were fresh and tasty. Also I loved the atmosphere, the cozy interior was designed with beautiful art. I will definitely visit this lovely little cafe again. Recommend!

Great place for breakfast in Helsinki. Very cozy place, nice atmosphere, the woman serving was very friendly, great food, value for money! I had a coffee, croissant, cinnamon bun and overnight oats for €12.
