5 stars!! 🤩 - Edit
This place is one of my favorite places in Quito to eat vegan! This place is self-proclaimed 95% vegan. The variety of local traditional Ecuadorian food as well international food is amazing. We were a large group and we all ordered vegan food. We ordered empanadas, samosas, ceviche, Mote pillo, fritada, double burger, and a Philly cheesesteak. Everything was so good. This place deserves more than 5 stars.

Imposible to give this place a better review - Edit
Just so perfect. Food, amazing. Ambiance, amazing. Staff, so kind. Vegan milkshakes, in Quito, Ecuador! Reasonably priced for how big the portions are. Ecuadorian food and global cuisine. Even got it delivered Uber Eats and it was great. My go to spot!

Entrees were good! - Edit
I can tell they are figuring out the flavors but I enjoyed the entree which was their traditional plate of corn, plantain, avocado, and some vegan meats. Skip the chocolate cake and hot chocolate though! Both of those items were one star!

Terrible service but good food - Edit
Such a shame had a table of 10 and I was the only vegan so an opportunity to create a good experience but this was not achieved. I had to ask 3 times if we could order mains.

Great traditional Ecuador food - Edit
It was really great here, I had the menestra, which is like some kind of soy steak served with frijoles (beans) and plantain, it comes with rice and salad. I really enjoyed it. I also got the enpanada which were really tasty too. Not too expensive overall.

Tons of vegan options - Edit
The whole menu is essentially vegan, but I think they serve some real cheese, so just double check. They have a wide array of dishes to choose from. We tried the Philly cheese steak, which was made from seitan- had good flavor, nice and juicy. We went back again to try some more local dishes which we are glad we did. We tried the mote pillo- which is like a hominy dish- super unique flavors- kind of like amc and cheese but not quite. Came with avocado, plantains, and some soyrizo. Then we tried the locro, which is a squash soup that was super hearty and delicious- it’s local to the Andes region. Definitely try some of the local dishes for an authentic experience!

I loved this place and will be back - Edit
I was so excited to try vegan versions of Ecuadorian food that aren't usually accessible to vegans.
Read moreI ordered the empanadas, ceviche and a chocolate cake. All good.
The food isnt cheap ( my bill for all of it was 16 usd) but the portion sizes are very generous. I'll be back to try more things!

Decent cafe! - Edit
El Maple has options such as burgers, juices, a few ecuadorian plates, a stir fry, etc. Two friends and I tried a few different dishes and I can't say we were super impressed by any of them but they were alright. The restaurant is conveniently located if you're staying in the area, and nice to have a vegetarian restaurant in Quito that's currently open. It was cool to get to try ceviche, I would suggest to share an order as it's a bit much for one person.

Several vegan options, including deserts! I got the vegan asiático and it was tasty. The place has good vibes, good music, and - in case you're bored - it has lots of books.

Ate here twice, really liked it - Edit
We ate here twice in January and really enjoyed the food.
Read moreWe enjoyed trying vegan versions of traditional foods.
I got the emapanadas de morocho on my first visit, and my wife got the menesta, which is a LOT of food.
The 2nd time, my wife got the philly cheesesteak, and I got the sustento del altiplano. This was one of my favorite meals during our 2 weeks in Quito.
They also have vegan cakes, which are good.
I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Pros: No meat, Vegan versions of traditional foods

Great variety of mostly vegan food - Edit
I've eaten here a few times and have enjoyed all of it, from the Philly steak sandwich and tofu ceviche to the burger and traditional plate. They are mostly vegan, which makes ordering very easy. They sell mock meats to take home and desserts too. The artisan beer place next door will serve you too (the beer is really good). Would love to see vegan ice cream instead of gelato in the future.

Good! - Edit
One of those places that’s really good but doesn’t quite make it to five stars. The Asian tofu bowl was good, not spectacular, but good! Similarly, the juice I had was good, but not great.

Great service and good place to work/study - Edit
We had the hummus and an eggplant dish and both were really delicious. They offer a variety of cakes and vegan ice cream and also sell some vegan products such as cheese or cream cheese. The service was excellent and the waiter always had a smile on his face. Also it is a good place to work/study as it is quiet, has comfortable tables and chairs and possibilities to charge your devices.

Very good place! - Edit
I really like this place! Really good menu, nourishing and tasty food. Staff are nice and there's a very chilled atmosphere and plenty of space inside. I actually thought it was very reasonably priced. Not the cheapest, but the food is very good quality. Got a delicious cake for dessert and a hot chocolate which is the size of a soup bowl!
