Great Place - Edit
We went here for the first time tonight. This is an excellent fully vegan place just a short walk from Newcastle city centre. They are currently doing Veganuary Thali Nights at weekends. In addition to the Thali, I tried their Vibrant Green cold-pressed juice, a beetroot latte and a raw vegan blueberry cake. Everything was fantastic, I will definitely be visiting again.

Secret Love - Edit
A very wholesome venue where you are welcomed as a friend every time. Tends to be my go to venue when I need a healthy kick start after a rough night, by way of a fresh juice or smoothie. The food is simple but very nutritious and delicious. The raw cakes are banging!!!!!

My partner and I went a couple of weeks ago for Saturday lunch. He had a curry and I had the omelette. They were both really good, but then... the cheesecakes, they were amazing! Best cheesecakes ever. Very reasonable prices, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.

Everyone welcome at Earthlings - Edit
We had about two and a half hours to fill before getting our train home at the end of our Northumbrian holiday. Had a look on Happy Cow, read the reviews and Earthlings appealed.
Read moreIt was about a quarter of an hour walk from the railway station, all uphill but that was fine, it would all be downhill for the return leg.
Earthlings have converted a Victorian Public House, which is next door to the Gurdwara, into a welcoming haven. Wooden panelling has been added above the picture rails. Someone there has green fingers as there are a lot of healthy indoor plants.
Our group of five ranged in age from 85 to 15 and we all have differing taste in food, only the two eldest being vegan and two of the younger ones being quite finicky about their grub.
With this in mind, I am delighted to report that everyone absolutely loved their food and drinks. We all chose different dishes and drinks to one another. We all were happy with the portion sizes, just right. The food was beautifully presented on the plates. The cheesecakes look small and pretty but do fill you up! Three of us opted for the cheesecake, all different flavours. Everyone loved them but two of us could not finish their cheesecake, being full up. I had to eat theirs for them. What a sacrifice, LOL.
The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and Earthlings is spotlessly clean. It was mid morning Thursday when we visited and when we arrived we had the place to ourselves. More customers arrived later, apparently it does get busy at lunchtime. We did not feel at all rushed.

Peaceful café with fresh food - Edit
This is a cute café in a residential neighbourhood. The first thing that struck me when we entered was how much wood there was. It was really nice and gave it a natural feel. When we went they had a selection of raw vegan cakes, hot food and fresh juices. We got a fresh apple juice (it wasn't on the menu but we requested it rather than having a mixed juice) which was big enough for me and my wife to have a glass each. We also got a Vegan Wrap and a Roast Veg Panini. The apple juice was really fresh and at £3.50 for 500ml was really great value. The wrap and the panini took a little while to arrive despite us being the only customers in there but I think that's because they were being made fresh. Both were tasty and had a good amount of filling.

Relaxing healing beautiful cafe - Edit
We love Earthlings 💚 having recently moved (back) to the area this is our new favourite vegan cafe.
Read moreSo much love and care is put into the food and drinks. The cafe has a lovely healing vibe with beautiful background music playing and is filled with very happy plants!
Our best advice to make the most of the cafe is don’t go in a rush, take the time to relax, be, and enjoy the healing space.
The moonglet is our favourite dish, very nutritious, tasty and filling too.
The lattes are really delicious, the cinnamon latte and medicinal mushroom latte are current favourites.
There are also events held in the healing space next to the cafe, with lots of interesting things going on.
It’s only a short walk uphill from the city centre and once you find your way it’s very quick to get there. We walk up Gallowgate by St James’ Stadium, turn left after the Sandman hotel and then follow Heber St up between the buildings and then onto a path across the land that hasn’t yet been built on and Earthlings is just up there next to the Gurdwara. Enjoy 😀

Lovely environment and great smoothies - Edit
We came here for breakfast and it was a lovely spot a bit out of town but not far at all. I ordered a rise and shine smoothie (coffee, peanut butter, granola, dates, cashew mylk) and my partner had a chocolate and peanut butter flavoured smoothie. The person working there also advised they served coffee and a little bit of food. I got the avocado toast and ,y partner had the banana and peanut butter toast. It was nice bread, nicely presented and I felt like some effort was taken to make it taste nice and look nice. I also ordered coffee which was nice. Reasonably priced and tasty.
