Very good vegan pizza!

The breakfast pizza (with polenta) was my favorite. It is a bit sweet, so it may not be to everyone's taste, but for me, the sweet mixed so well with the other flavors, making for a tongue-full of happy taste buds.

Great wine bar

A nice place to enjoy wine in high-chairs with simple nibbles.

Pros: Pizza!, Nice staff, Good wine list, for the concept

Cons: Pizza dough is too much bread; should do thinner, Toppings are slight; overcome by dough, Antipasto platter is too expensive for what it is

So good

Fire roasted deliciousness, pick any pizza and you will be happy. So much flavor contrasts with the delicious crispy, light crust.

Pros: Rich flavors, Variety

It’s whatever

As vegans, we revel in the existence of a plant based pizza place such as Double Zero. We would revel even more if the pizza wasn’t bland and overpriced. To find vegan pizza worth eating, I would recommend Screamers Pizza in Brooklyn.

Pros: Vegan

Cons: Bland, Overpriced

Not a great experience

Brought my wife (vegan also) and non-vegan kids after seeing Stomp 3 blocks away after reading some reviews about their pizza. My expectations may have been inflated as a result of prior research but was definitely not somewhere I’d frequent again based on the average food and limited options.

Pros: Wood-fire oven pizza crust was good, Salad was good , Olive with crostini was good

Cons: Nothing stood out as being unique/above par

Delicious pizza, not very good service

I have read so many good reviews about Double Zero and I couldn't wait to visit this place. First, we hung out in front of the restaurant and read the menu outside. We got very excited about artichoke pizza since I miss very much the regular non-vegan one. Happy that we made our choice we went inside and waited in vain for the hostess to take us to the table, so we just picked our place to sit. There was just one more couple seated already. We had waited for a service maybe 10 min and it could be more if I wouldn't take the initiative and ask the waitress for help myself. She told us that artichoke pizza is from a dinner menu and can't be served now (brunch). I wish they had the brunch menu outside but oh well, we picked Spicy Marinara Arrabbiata - with shiitake bacon, cauliflower, macadamia ricotta, and basil. From this point service was great. The pizza was ready quickly and I have to say - it was delicious. It was an interesting combination of fresh ingredients and it also looked beautiful.

I am torn - between 3* or 4*. The pizza itself was amazing, no doubts. But the service wasn't good. Little mess with the menus, no hostess to greet the guests, the only restroom they had was very messy and stinky (and it was a beginning of the day). I wouldn't do such a fuss about this if this is not quite a fancy and expensive place.

PS: when we left the restaurant, we noticed they added brunch menu outside :-)

Gluten-free bases available

Small, relaxed pizza restaurant with nice ambience. We enjoyed our pizzas and knew the ingredients would be good quality with no ‘vegan junk’ because it was Matthew Kenney’s restaurant - (if you’re not familiar with him download his short biography on Kindle for holiday reading to find out how he got into first raw, and then plant-based cuisine - an interesting , quick read). He has a Japanese and Mexican restaurant either side, the Mexican we visited, which was also good. Afterwards you must visit Van Leeuven Artisan Ice Cream just up the road

Pros: Gluten-free options available, Fresh whole plant-based ingredients, Ambiance

Cons: Not cheap, Our waiter was a bit ‘off’

Delish pizza!

Exotic, creative pizza's. salads, vegan cheese plate. Food is fresh and delish - very non-traditional as Italian goes, but very good.

Small bar with only about five seats. Tables are very close together and almost communal. Very hot inside.

Pros: Vegan!, Creative, fresh choices, great location

Cons: A little pricey, No privacy/tables are communal-ish, Very hot inside - poor air conditioning

Wow

This was amazing. The food is delicious and the presentation was great. The staff is friendly. I bought the cook book, so I can have the illusion I can eat like that every day.

Good place

Came because of the many good reviews and the pizza was very good and the cauliflower appetizer the waiter recommend tasted very good as well. The tiramisu was disappointing though; it was very dry because they prepared it in an “artsy” way which made it not worth the 12$.

Pros: Pizzas, Staff

Cons: Expensive for what you get, Tiramisu want any good

Excellent!

I think I don't have to write about how good the pizza is, since the word has spread around already! The overall experience was great. But I would like to mention that I had probably the best vegan dessert ever: the chocolate cake (but honestly, it was more than a cake!). I was so happy to have found that unique vegan restaurant. I wish we could have one in Montreal.

Pros: Excellent food, great vegan variety, Great place (nice design, clean, comfortable), Friendly staff

Had better pizza

The seating in here is uncomfortable and crowded, you are squashed onto stools at high tables for 6 people and it gets really loud. My elbows were literally touching my neighbour. The pizza was okay, I liked the innovative toppings and the nut cheese but wasn’t wild about the base & found it a bit dry. The starters were really nice, we had the Brussels sprouts and peas & carrots. The service was perfunctory but unfriendly. I’d like to go back to try some of the non-pizza items but as the seating was so uncomfortable I probably won’t.

Pros: nice starters, interesting pizza toppings , decent menu with lots of choice

Cons: not a fan of the pizza

Divine pizzas

The most delicious vegan pizzas served with a base of 00+ flour and topped with either macadamia or cashew cheese.

bland sausage pizza

The farro fennel sausage pizza was very bland. The pizza had a lot of farro on it with little flavor. Couldn't taste the sauce or the cheese. My husband had the pesto pizza which tasted good. The chocolate cake dessert was good. Nothing special though. Definitely not the best vegan pizza I've had. I'm from Portland so I'm a vegan snob.
