Love it! - Edit
Came for my graduation, got 4 different pizzas (margarita, truffle, potato, and pesto) and absolutely loved the truffle and potato! Marg was great as a classic but the pesto wasn’t anyone’s favorite. Still great overall and have come back since and loved the Caesar salad!

Their truffle pizza is to die for - Edit
I went there 3 times and the first two times were just amazing - the vibe and service were great, everything I’ve tried tasted incredible and they definitely have the best truffle pizza that is just perfection and a must try. The last time I went though, most of our food felt overly salty so I haven’t enjoyed it as much but will definitely come back again to try other pizzas as well. Price wise, we shared a salad, a much room dish, a pizza and ordered two glasses of wine and the bill came out to around $110 before adding tips.

The pizza was sub-par. They also didn’t have coffee, which was disappointing.

Pizza is an art - Edit
When you have to have pizza (and cold pizza leftovers), Double Zero's artichoke is a win. I'm not the biggest fan of the smoky cashew cream thing but it works here. Even better cold.

Great vegan pizza - Edit
There’s a chance I give 5 stars after I come back and try something else. Nothing I had was bad at all but not sure it’s the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. Truffle/mushroom pizza was good, and the slice of the pepperoni one I tried was good too

My friend and I split the mushroom and kale pizza. It was fantastic! My friend isn’t vegan and was so impressed! We also had a pasta dish which was very good as well. Food came out fast.

Great pizza and pleasant atmosphere - Edit
Tried the squash blossom and the marinara pizzas—best vegan pizza I’ve ever had! Delicious toppings and perfectly crispy, thin crust. Felt light and healthy. Balanced by a very satisfying fresh green salad and followed by truly incredible-tasting cheesecake. Not usually a fan of vegan deserts, but this was sooo good. I want it all again, right now! Pleasant lighting and overall ambience too.

Absolutely delicious! - Edit
I love this restaurant! All of the contiguous Matthew Kenney restaurants are superb, this one or bar verde is probably my favorite vs sestina because I find the portions are larger. I had the truffle cashew cream pizza and the eggplant Parmesan. Both of them were beyond delicious, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the eggplant. From the moment you enter this restaurant you’ll be hit with a truffle aroma that will leave your mouth watering. Conveniently located near some of the best nightlife in New York, this place and it’s neighbors will always be a favorite. I love that it’s open late and at a wonderful location. It boasts a menu with lots of different flavor profiles all executed brilliantly.

Not as good as Boston - Edit
Really enjoyed the food at the Boston location so decided to check this one out as well. Had the arrabbiatta pizza and the chocolate cake for dessert. The crust had the same perfectly chewy texture albeit slightly underdone for my taste; I would’ve liked it more charred. The cake was on the dry side. I’m sure the vanilla ice cream on top would’ve helped but they ran out and subbed it with raspberry sorbet on the side. Still, if pizza/Italian food is your thing, this place is an absolute no-brainer.

My wife has been going here for 6 years so I was fortunate to try the truffle cashew cream as my first option and didn’t want anything else on the menu because it was just that GOOOD!! P.S. Sprinkle some peppers on it

A can’t miss spot if you are visiting NYC, it’s a cozy pizza & pasta spot that is totally plant based. A good sized menu I found it hard to choose. The pizzas come out of a wood fired oven & rang from your classic margarita to squash blossom. Menu is by chef Matthew Kennedy & his creative use of ingredients captures the classic Italian flare without classic (dairy & meat) ingredients. #Veganuary

Late Blog. - Edit
So I'm going to embark into a vegan foodie tour in NYC for my birthday in June. Round 2 at that. Back in February 2018, just 3 months turning vegan, I went on an vegan exploration in NYC. I just never blogged it....until now with this late post. So first up-to-bat is Double Zero. And looking at their current menu online, they don't service their "sausage pizza" anymore (they used farro to mimc the crumbles of sausage... amazing). But displayed in the pic is their sausage pizza paired w/ a sangiovese wine. Absolutely delicious. The establishment did have a fine-dinning ambiance and it was a first fine-dinning (vegan) experience I've ever had considering I was still new to the Green game. But I'm definitely going to return in June. 5 stars.
Read moreUpdate: Of course this was an automatic revisit in NYC. Changed up the ambiance for a little bouj-waa. Lol *Pinky up* They don't have their sausage pizza anymore as I stated in the previous review. So I went with their pepp pie paired with a Sangiovese, of course. *Pinky up*

I have been here a few times with friends and loved it. I had their Basil Sunflower Pesto and Spicy Arrabbiata. I am not a big mushroom person but damn the shiitake bacon on Arrabbiata was amazing.

Wow!! This is one amazing restaurant. - Edit
My wife and I dined here on an early Sunday afternoon and we were treated to an amazing meal. We ordered the avocado toast as an appetizer, to be split between us, and it was unbelievable. It was our first time trying avocado toast and I’m afraid we have been spoiled for life. It was that delicious and the home fries that accompanied the AT were quite tasty as well. Next up were our pizzas. I had the pepperoni and my wife had the margherita. These perfectly sized personal pizzas featured some out of this world pizza sauce and most definitely the most mind blowing cheese I’ve ever tasted. The vegan pepperoni was flavorful and added just the right amount of pizzazz to my pizza. The crust had the perfect crunch and was cooked to perfection. Our pizzas had so much flavor and no grease or saltiness. I don’t know how the chef pulled it off. After finishing our incredible lunch we knew we had experienced something special. We had the most delicious pizza ever and we are including multiple restaurants all over Italy that did not compare to what we had here at Double Zero. Our review would not be complete with out acknowledging the great job of the wait staff. Everyone who served us was just incredible. We can’t wait to go back.

Potato pizza? - Edit
We got the potato pizza with added mushroom bacon and the artichoke pizza. Personally I think the flavors of both were muted, the potato definitely benefits from the add-on. The dough was the real star. Mixed drinks were nice. They had a sour made with aquafaba which was tasty, as was the passion fruit gin.

Disappointed - Edit
Judging by other reviews, maybe I caught them on a bad day.
Read moreVery stylish restaurant and great selection of vegan pizzas. However, it wasn’t busy when I went in, so no excuse for serving a burnt pizza which I had to wait a good while for. If I wasn’t in a rush I’d have insisted on a replacement. Hard to tell if toppings were tasty as overcooking obliterated the flavours. In fairness, the toppings were generous.

Upscale pizza - Edit
Unfortunately I liked my partner's pizza choice more than mine which was a bit greasy but it was still nice. This is a fancier place and the price reflects that too. We had lunch there but I feel it was more of a dinner place
