Delicious veganizable food - Edit
Randomly entered the place for NYE dinner, and was really pleased with the service and the food. My waitress knew exactly what vegans are looking for, and her recommendations were spot on! The food was delicious of course.

Lovely vibe and interesting food - Edit
I loved the vibe of this place. The music, the design, the colors. I had the majestic hummus plate and it was very beautiful, but I did not really enjoy the taste of it. I would however go back here to try something else because everything else was so good.

We came here one afternoon after reading so many great reviews. We walked into the half empty restaurant and were sent away because „all tables were reserved“ (it was 4 pm and the earliest reservation was 7:30, also some tables didn’t have any signs on them). Really sad about this incident but definitely won’t be coming here again.

Amazing! - Edit
We loved Dobrumba. Worth tying again if busy the first time or get a reservation. We loved the courghette salad and paprika hummus. Amazing, amazing freshness and flavor. The vegan options were very high quality. Wish we could rate a 5.

The BEST food I’ve had in Europe this trip. 😍😍😍 - Edit
Super yum!!! We had the warm chickpea dish with the cauliflower starter and fried eggplant. The results were delish and very filling for two. Will be back there again this week it was SOOO good. Happy Cow won’t let me give the 5 stars because their menu isn’t fully veg but honestly there are so many veg (and I think vegan) options it’s not an issue. Plus the flavours they are playing with are out of this world!!!

What a great place! Definitely the best meal we had in Budapest (and probably anywhere else).
Read moreThe cold mezze was sooo good - especially the muhammara with walnuts and pomegranate.
Nothing in Budapest is expensive, but here we ate like gods.
Pros: The taste!

Good vegan options - Edit
We went twice during our stay because we found it so good. The broccoli tabbouleh salad is so so tasty. You have to make sure your waiter knows what vegan means though because on both occasions they seemed a bit confused, even though the menu states the vegetarian dishes can be made vegan.

WOW - Edit
Some of the best food I have ever eaten, and I do not say that lightly!!! I had the baba ghanoush dip (which I literally ate with a spoon after the bread ran out it was that good...), the winter Jerusalem salad with roasted veggies, lentils and a tahini dressing (vegan on request without the egg on top) and a hibiscus and rosewater lemonade. I thought I hated tahini until I ate it here - honestly do yourself a delicious favour and eat here. Decor is fab, cosy place with all the amenities (toilets, wifi...). 10000x recommend!

Good vegan choices - Edit
Lovely helpful staff - they seem to be able to make most veggie options vegan. Visited twice whilst in Budapest it's quite busy both nights got a table at 9.30 so probably best to book.

It was really good, but make sure that you make a reservation!

hummus overdose - Edit
Be prepared to eat a lot of hummus if you’re vegan. The server was helpful but he wasn’t too sure of which vegetarian dishes were actually vegan so we ended up on the safe side.
Read moreI was a bit disappointed by the main courses that were the same size as a mezze and definitely sounded better on paper.
I think I may have had too high expectations. It was nice and fresh food for sure but not too varied for vegans. They were sold out of vegan shakshuka and it was the only warm vegan dish on the menu.
Pros: fresh and made from scratch
Cons: not the most exciting options for vegans

Dobrumba has a great atmosphere to it. Located in the hip and happening 7th district it is very central and very popular these days.

This is a great place, very well located, right in the centre, you can reach any place from here on foot.
Read moreThe interior is beautiful, very cozy, the music is great, the whole atmosphere is very very nice. The waitress and waiters are very kind and helpful.
The food is really really yummy, they have glutenfree bread (or at least supposed to, when we went they were ran out and have not gotten the new batch though), also, you can ask for milk free options.
The cold mezzes are delicious, however one friendly suggestions, they are really filling and heavy due to ground nuts and oils they contain, and the ones that have nuts in them have a bit overwhelming taste of the nuts (still really yummy), but next time we would pick some lighter cold mezzes, or fewer and choose some salads instead.
Overall a great place, great location and great food!
Pros: lots of vegan options - very few omniv. ones :), great atmosphere, great location
Cons: might need reservation in adnvance
