AMAZING food, excellent service - Edit
My husband and I are staying on the strip for two nights, and we stopped by here for lunch on the first day. It was so good, we decided to come back on the second day, despite the 20 minute (one way) drive from our hotel. It was absolutely worth it both times. We didn’t have the patience to take pictures before we demolished our food, but I promise it’s gorgeous and DELICIOUS. We tried 4 rolls, 2 types of nigiri, an appetizer, and 2 types of dessert over the course of our two meals and literally every single thing was DELICIOUS. No misses!! The highlights: the rainbow roll, squid nigiri, and the molten lava cake (the last one might be less universal, but molten lava cake was always my favorite dessert growing up and something I’ve only seen vegan a couple of times).
Read moreAND the service is exceptional! The person I assume is owner is very very friendly and comped us tapioca pudding at our second meal (which was super delicious).
Sushi was always one of my favorite foods and was hard for me to give up when I went vegan, so I’ve explored a fair amount of vegan sushi. This was better than Shizen in SF, Beyond Sushi in NYC, or Planta in NYC Chicago (the two locations I’ve tried). Run don’t walk to try this one!!

We had a party of 4 and they offered to bring an extra of something that had only 3. Just very nice and super friendly.

Worth a drive from the strip - Edit
The service here was really friendly, and the food was great! When I'm in town, I usually stick to dining options on the strip because of convenience since I'm already staying there, but I don't mind making the ~15 mile drive for this.
Read moreWe ordered: nigiri sushi (salmon was roasted bell pepper, unagi was eggplant, and albacore was daikon), tonkatsu cutlet (tofu), and sea bass (tofu) with tomato sauce.

It is all vegan, the sushi is delicious, Raman is good(typical salty). They pan fry the rice and can do it with minimal oil if asked.

Excellent - Edit
Daikon lives up to the hype. The place is clean. The staff are great. And, the food really is that good. The caterpillar role is probably the best vegan sushi roll I have ever had. If you come to Vegas make the trip to Daikon.

Used to like - Edit
I used to go here for the yummy karage and curry ramen soup. But haven't gone back since I had a bad experience with rude servers. Veggie Eat Express has way better vegan sushi in my opinion. And friendlier servers and owner. I also don't feel my best after eating at Daikon, unfortunately.

Delicious and friendly staff - Edit
Everything was delicious. We ordered the squid salad, spider roll, hot girl roll, dynamite pockets, sesame chicken with rice and the sea bass tomatoes sauce with rice. Everything was good except the sea bass tomatoes sauce wasn’t that great. It tasted diluted. And the squid salad wasn’t that great either. Other than that it’s pretty good. The staff was friendly. We talked and he gave a few recommendations on some vegan restaurants in San Diego since we’re heading that way. So that was nice of him.

Viva Las Vegas vegan sushi! - Edit
We made a beeline from the airport to try the amazing vegan sushi at Daikon that we've heard so much about. We were warmly greeted at the door, and we were guided through the menu when we were seated. The sesame "chicken" entree was superb, and the curry ramen was delicious. We also ordered a couple sushi rolls, the spider roll and the tropical dragon roll - both were excellent. We're only in Vegas a few days, but we're planning another visit to Daikon.

If you like deep fried tofu, and who doesn’t, get the karage with your order. It’s such good value.

Wow! So worth the Uber from the strip. We had the Bulgogi roll, the sunset roll, and the Golden State roll. All three were amazing! We started off with the garlic chili edamame and finished with a lemon bar. Every single item was delicious.

Great Food and Service - Edit
Great food and prompt service. My only *minor* gripe is that the black rice is $2 extra per roll which seems a bit steep, however, I’d happily pay it again because the food is so good.

Vegan Sushi is Always a Good Idea - Edit
Daikon is a fantastic place with a creative menu ranging from sushi to ramen. The mock fish is mostly vegetables rather than soy or other imitation products. Delicious and fun. Ask for the sushi to be made with black rice!

best vegan sushi - Edit
I've been to six vegan sushi restaurants now and this was by far the best. We ordered and shared the karrage, Bulgogi roll, Black garlic roll, Spider rolls, between the two of us. It was perfect. Everything was so flavourful and fresh. Sometimes I’ve had vegan sushi thats almost too rich that you just taste the mayo/sauce (or salt) and this was not like that, it was delicious but not overly rich.

The two vegan places we went to in Vegas were here and Chef Kenny’s, and if you have a choice between the two, I would highly recommend going here for fresh dishes, friendly service and a clean, bright aesthetic!
