Worth a big detour - Edit
I liked it when it was a food truck. I LOVE it as a restaurant. The menu is extensive and quality. My burger was superb. Staff super friendly. Interior is great. Hidden inside an apartment building. Well worth seeking out.

Best falafel in Tokyo-and now burgers - Edit
Updated review since Cori has moved out of commune: Their vegan burgers are seriously incredible! I had two different ones and the flavors are crazy good. It is a bit difficult to find, but once inside it is beautiful!

AMAZING!! - Edit
Me and my boyfriend (non vegan) came here after a long day of travelling and it was just what we needed, in his words the best vegan burger he had ever had (soy chicken) not only affordable and delicious but the staff were incredibly welcoming despite us knowing little to no Japanese! Will be back 😁

Amazing! You must go here! - Edit
I’ve been going to vegan places in Tokyo for a few years and somehow had missed this place. I think it’s in a bit of a weird location but don’t let that put you off. I had the tofu teriyaki burger on the recommendation of the review below and just as he said it was the best burger in Tokyo (and I’ve eaten a lot of them!). Just want to go back and try everything now!

Mediocre Falafels. Nothing special - Edit
This is pretty much a falafel stand in a drinking park. Hard to find a seat. The staff were very rude when I was trying to order something simple gluten free. They thankfully gave me a refund. If you’re vegan food hunting in Tokyo, I would not stop here.

Real beer! Served properly! Amazingly friendly staff and delicious food with a great, varied menu. Located inside the Commune 2nd outdoor food market - very pretty at night and well decorated place that seems to attract a huge range of customers. You could sit there eating and drinking all day.

Overpriced - Edit
Bought the falafel plate that contained 5 falafel balls, 2 pita breads, a little bit of hummus and then salad. I payed 1500 yen for this. Overpriced place.. it wasn’t even that good.

Quick check in - Edit
I didnt actually buy anything from here as it was not what I was expecting. I food stand based largely on alcohol with the food only getting a little side of the menu. Items like falafel, pitta, houmous... the usual vegan options.

Great tasting food - Edit
I enjoyed the food here. A relaxed atmosphere in an otherwise busy part of the city. The food is served fresh, and is very reasonably priced. Portions are decent. I would highly recommend.

Hidden gem for vegans - Edit
After stuggling to find anything vegan in tokyo this was the first proper vegan meal we had and it was amazing. We had the vegan plate for 1000¥ which came with an array of salads, rice and best of all the soy nuggets which were like a bite of heaven! It's in a great little courtyard almost hidden from the street with lots of beer stands etc and reminded me of similar places in brick lane and camden back home in England. It's a must if you're near Shibuya or Harajuku!

soy nuggets FTW - Edit
We came here exhausted and hungry and it was such a nice surprise. Food was filling and health. Only thing is I wish we had more of the soy nuggets! We got the vegan plate that has a variety of things and were very happy. I also got a chai latte which was a rare find to me!

Excellent Food in Great Atmosphere - Edit
We came here after visiting Harajuku and were pleasantly surprised when we found the outdoor food court known as Commune 246. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing, and there are numerous choices, but we came for Cori Vegan. We tried the Falafel and the Vegan plate and both were excellent. The portions are not too big and there is a nice salad with both. We really enjoyed eating al fresco and relaxing afterwards.

I had the falafel in pita, you will need to fork to eat this as it's laden down with salad and hummus. The falafels were faultless. I paid ¥850.

Unique in Tokyo - Edit
The food stand is beautiful and the atmosphere at Commune 246 is probably unique in Tokyo. The crowd is heavy on foreigners and pretty much everything's in English. If I forgot I was in Tokyo, I might think I was in the USA or northern/central Europe.
Read moreI appreciate a vegan stand here but unfortunately the food could be better. They are trying to make something you'd find in Portland I think, but it's just a small portion of weird things mixed together (lettuce, cabbage, a couple potato chips, mushrooms, soy nuggets, different sauces).
It's worth a visit to see the Commune 246 space and try Cori, but I wouldn't go again for the food.
Pros: Unique atmosphere, beautiful stand
Cons: Strange combination of food, small portion

Awesome vibe - Edit
I went to Commune264 for Cori vegan food truck, but it is closed on Tuesdays. Fortunately right across is a Hawaiian food truck with a good vegan plate for 1000 JPY.
Read moreI went back on not-Tuesday, and ate the vegan plate (1000 JPY). Points because they gave me an actual plate instead of disposable stuff. The food was a mix of the usual salad, pickles, fried soy meat and mushrooms but also included the best scrambled tofu I've ever had. It was squishy and creamy, possibly the closes to eggs I've come across. It was only a small amount, but worth trying the plate for that I think. They have lots of other options too, and some interesting drinks on the menu.
Commune246 itself is a great place to hang. It's a covered outdoor seating area with a whole bunch of food trucks, and a really nice vibe. It also includes Wired cafe, which provides wifi, power and plenty of seating - a great spot for digital nomadding.

So Cool! - Edit
The food was great, items I would have at home, so it was my style of comfort food, generous portions, and it was the coolest spot I've been to in Japan. You would never know there was such a diverse, indie, hipster area, unless you were specifically looking for it. There was a DJ spinning, people from all walks of life eating, drinking, and dancing. It was a great experience!

Cool spot in Omotesando - Edit
Food is good, many choices and pretty cheap! It's the right place if you are walking in the fancy area of Omotesando and you want to eat in a more relaxed atmosphere. Lots of people at the commune, pretty much all the time, sometimes there are people playing music/singing.

Delicious - Edit
Located in the trendy Commune 246, this food stand was great! I had the falafel sandwich, and the statement that they have the best falafel is pretty spot on. Topped with a variety of condiments and stuffed with leafy greens, it was a truly delicious dish. The only downside was how the food took around 10 minutes to be prepared, but the owner notified me of this beforehand, but it was a shame when your friend has to wait for your food to come. Can't wait to come and try the other dishes!
