If you need a cruelty free treat this is the place, the donuts and hot chocolate is just wonderful. I bought these to my office for my last day of work and everyone couldn’t believe they were vegan and said they were best they had ever had.

We keep going back almost every Saturday so I suppose that speaks for itself. We also keep convincing ourselves that we do it "purely for keeping vegan flags in Edinburgh up" and because "somebody has to support them in a long term, right?"

Personally I love their cinnamon buns and cinnamon & sugar donuts (warning: possible cinnamon bias)

I went here today with my friend and its honestly some of the best ice cream I've ever had! I also had some of their donuts the day before that are great too. Lots of variety. They're a good price for being homemade and the staff were really friendly.

I am sucker for all things biscoff, so even though I came for a donut I ended up getting ice cream. I don’t know how they do it but the ice cream is by far the best I ever had. It’s both icy and creamy. I wish I was able to buy a tub and take it back to Canada

I'd been buying Considerit donuts from festivals and markets, so was delighted when they opened a cafe in Edinburgh. These are hands down the best vegan donuts I've tried, and I've loved every single flavour I've had, as well as the ice-cream. The hot chocolate varieties are really good too, and my partner enjoys the coffee. Service is prompt and friendly. All in all, highly recommended.

I have been a fan of Considerit doughnuts well before the opening of the store - I mean, doughtnuts with ice cream and syrup on top...how could you not eagerly await their next appearance at a market or fair?!

The perfect place to get a quick sweet snack before strolling through the Meadows. The donuts taste really nice and are just over 2 pounds a piece, which is not cheap but reasonable given the quality (and the non-availability of vegan donuts elsewhere in Edinburgh).

Might be dog friendly but no signs - someone else brought their dog to the counter while mine were outside. We prob would have eaten in and had coffees if we knew they were allowed in.

These are the best doughnuts I've ever tasted. They're tasty, beautiful and generous. The cafe is small but nice for a coffee break. This place is awesome, everyone should go here and I hope they continue to be successful.

Scotlands first vegan donut shop - Edit
This donut shop is only two days old!
Read moreAs I understand it, they have been traveling around to different markets to sell their goods but they have now opened a shop. It is located in a very cute residential area and the bakery inside is open so customers can see exactly what's going on while the donuts are being baked.
I definitely recommend the raspberry white chocolate donut if you come here!

I first encountered Considerit Chocolate at VegFest UK in London last year, and was so excited to discover that there is a new vegan chocolate company in Edinburgh! All of their products which I've tried so far have been delicious :)
