Only one vegan option, not a good experience - Edit
Me and a friend of mine visited Chök about two weeks ago, we were craving some sweets and had heard good things. Sadly we were very dispointed with the visit. There was only one vegan option, it looked nice though, but we both decided to try something else. Both of out doughnuts tasted nothing but sugar and not the flavours that were "promised" raspberry in my case and creamcheese for her. The dougnuts weren't that expensive but the coffee was! In all honesty, we were very dispointed.

Very good chocolate cake with not too much sugar. Had only one vegan donut unfortunately which is what we came for in the first place. We couldn't sit, there were only two seats.

I tried a chocolate cupcake "oreo" type and I couldn't really tell the difference from a non vegan cupcake. And I'm not vegan for a long time to think I forgot how the real thing tastes. The chocolate cake was soft and really fresh and the cream was sweet but not in an extreme way. Also it was big enough to make me feel full hahah! There is also red velvet type cupcake which also looked really delicious.

The Fanciest Vegan Baked Goods - Edit
I stopped by Chok twice while visiting Barcelona. They had a large selection of vegan items both times I went and the guy working the counter was very friendly and helpful when I had questions.

I would definitely recommend Chok to anyone looking to treat themselves to really nice bakery item.

Chök has quite a few vegan options, although exactly what varies with the shop you're in.

One thing is for sure - you can expect a very fatty experience. Admittedly, you can't buy a donut and not have it be fat, but the problem is the toppings on the cupcakes etc that are basically a several centimetre layer of slightly flavoured fat that leaves you feeling sick later.
The only thing that's consistently good is their assortment of pralines, they are quite nice and several of them have a balanced flavour.

Cons: VERY fatty, to the point of gagging at times, Very expensive, Bad fats and fillings in some cases

This place is dangerous, I can´t walk past their shops or foodtruck without going in and getting one of their doughnuts or cakes. They´re really good, and in this branch in particular, so many vegan options, which have been made really well. The staff are always really happy and helpful.

I tried the vegan raspberry "nutella" doughnut that was amazing! Super sweet and chocolatey, by the end I thought I would go into a chocolate coma. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would go back to try more flavours.

Great place to stop and have a coffee and doughnut! I spent 4 nights in Barcelona and visited Chök everyday 🙈 On my last day I took 6 home back to the U.K and my non vegan family absolutely loved them. Thank you for making my Christmas a special one, and being able to spread the vegan message in such a delicious way. I will be back!

This bakery does some amazing vegan options, I got a cupcake and chocolate filled doughnut. The chocolate filled doughnut tasted as if they used Nutella as the filling 😍 and then the cupcake looked beautiful with blue icing and flower petals on top. I can say it tasted as good as it looked! The staff are friendly but I wouldn’t recommend eating in, take it out and find somewhere a bit nicer to eat and it felt a bit cramped eating in.

A must visit if you have sweet tooth. They offer mainly donuts and muffins covered of chocolate and very fancy stuff. Half of the options are vegan, although the variety is limited if compared to the non-vegan ones. Anyway, everything is very good. As a advantage, the place is decorated as a artisanal bakery and moreover, you can even see how the sweets are done. Very recommended.

I had seen this place listed on Happycow before, so when I passed another location (on Carrer de Carme right off Las Rablas), I went in looking for vegan options. The guy there suggested I go to THIS location instead because they offered a lot more, so maybe this is the only location of many in the city to do so?
Read moreThe shop has a small bar sitting area for 2-3 people, but generally it's a walk-in, walk-out type place. The vegan stuff had almost it's own section, but had 2 or 3 non-vegan options dispersed throughout. Got a blueberry donut and chocolate filled one, but equally divine but the chocolate filled one seemed a bit more fresh. Also got 2 truffles, orange and pistachio and MY GAWWWWWWD the pistachio one blew my f**king head off. Amazingly good. Will return for SURE to try the rest and have a coffee.

Cute little shop in a side street less then 5 mins from Placa Catalunya. Several vegan choices but get there early to ensure you don't miss out on the fabulous doughnuts. Quite expensive but worth it for a treat. Staff are friendly and helpful. You can pay by card.

Cute little shop with clearly labeled vegan donuts, cookies and smaller pastries. When I went in they had 6 vegan options, which all looked delicious. I went for the dark chocolate and berry jam filled one, with an edible flower and buttercream on top. Pretty amazing!

There's two shops, one has just vegan doughnuts and the other has cakes, chocolates, doughnuts and cookies. I bought a double Oreo cupcake and chocolate filled doughnuts. Both great, but doughnut in particular was delicious! Worth a visit

We were a bit early for breakfast at Flax & Kale, and found this place nearby (to kill time). The donuts (filled with a vegan house made Nutella) were light and delicious, served with a good almond milk flat white.
