This branch of Club Mexicana is based within ‘Boxhall City’ which is a food court by the same company behind the Boxparks. It's located literally across the road from Liverpool Street station so it's very convenient. It's a cool venue with shared seating and lots of different food vendors besides Club Mexicana, so it's a great choice if you want to eat out with friends who won't eat vegan.
Read moreClub Mexicana have a great selection and we went for the Cheezeburger burrito and BBQ Short ‘Rib' burrito. We chose to remove the jalapeños from the Cheezburger burrito and add guac to the BBQ one (for an extra £2.50). Both burritos were loaded with lots of tasty, fresh ingredients and were very flavoursome! The BBQ Short ‘Rib’ edged it for us but they were both very tasty. Our friends also went for loaded nachos and tacos and enjoyed both. One of them also didn't even realise the food was vegan and admitted once he realised (which was only because we were also eating it) that he couldn't tell the difference to animal meat!

Bowls do not come with a tortilla - Edit
My partner was really annoyed that the bowls do not come with the tortilla as it looks like they do on the menu. The cheezeburger bowl with guac then is mostly cold with all the lettuce and slaw. He was supremely disappointed and went to complain. I got the bbq short rib burrito and we both thought that was very nice and warm. I didn’t get guac as that didn’t seem to go with the bbq ingredients. My partner thought this burrito was nicer than the ones at Tortilla but it’s more expensive. This is an all vegan establishment though so we wanted to try their food and support them.

Conveniently located near Liverpool Street Station inside a new little food hall. However, my cheeseburger taco was dry and not great compared to other CM locations I’ve been to. Perhaps it’s because this location is new and working through some kinks first?

Loved the food and the lively atmosphere - sitting at the bar lets you admire the incredibly skilled kitchen staff! Hearty portions and good prices - not to be missed! The loaded nachos were so massive, they can definitely be considered dinner 🤤

Had a disappointing short rib bowl here and a disappointing fried chicken kebab at their Mighty Hoopla stall recently, these dishes don’t seem to be as well thought out as they used to be or as much effort put into them. Will stick to the tacos only from now on.

New location, same delicious nachos & tacos. The dishes at their new Boxhall City restaurant are just as high quality as in their other ones. I highly recommend their loaded nachos and BBQ tacos.
Read moreIt should be noted however, that Boxhall City is a “food and drinks hall” and Club Mexicana therefore do not have their own tables. During peak times it’s best to first find a seat and order from there. The location is very busy and loud, sometimes also with live music.
Pros: Delicious Mexican food , Friendly and fast service , Sometimes live music in the evening
Cons: Getting a spot to eat isn’t always easy
