Great buns - Edit
We were in NY for our daughter's wedding and found this out of the way place in the Electric Picnic place. They were great. The pumpkin spice cinnamon bun was very sweet, but very good. The brownie is a real find. $4 for a huge slice - in New York! The pumpkin cake was also extremely good. And it was all vegan, which is hard to find where I'm from in Florida. When we visit again I definitely will go there again.

This is a large chain that serves vegan cinnamon buns with different toppings. I give them an extra star because they are all-vegan--which is otherwise so rare for a large dessert chain.
Read moreThis is a ghost kitchen; you order via phone or kiosk and pick up your food at a locker. There is almost nowhere to sit inside, but there are some seats outdoors in the front, next to 787 Coffee. The owners has a kiosk at a street fair yesterday, where I bought my treat. The bun was admittedly a bit too sweet for my tastes. Also, by the time I got home, the bun had coooled off and was a bit doughy--I should have heated it before imbibing.

Extremely Sweet Treats in a Digital Food Court - Edit
If you have a serious sweet tooth — and I mean really sweet, almost like pure sugar — this place might be for you. I personally couldn’t finish my cinnamon roll because it was overwhelmingly sweet and even stuck to my mouth.
Read moreJust so you know, there’s no traditional shop on-site. It’s part of a fully digital food court: you order at a screen, receive a ticket, scan it on a tablet after the given waiting time, and then a compartment opens where you can collect your food.

If Chance/I are in the kitchen we always come up to hand deliver pickups! Sorry sounds as though we weren't there when you stopped by. Our frosting is definitely on the sweet side! Sometimes I opt for some powdered sugar instead of frosting, but sometimes I'm all about the frosting!! Hope you'll have as much fun as we do mixing and matching toppings in the future! A weird digital food court but the cinnamon bun was delicious! - Edit
The cinnamon buns are fantastic, as always, but the location is not like other Cinnaholics. There is no human staff with whom you interact. It’s a “digital food court” with 30 restaurants under one roof. No counter staff - just kiosks where you place an order. When your order is ready you will get a text and you click a link in the text to open a locker and retrieve your food. The cinnamon buns come in the classic Cinnaholic box, in a Cinnaholic brown paper bag. Seating is a few bar stools facing a narrow counter and a wall, or a low hard plastic bench with no table. No bathrooms. There is a small coffee stand with human staff in the same space. And the only other visible staff are the people who put the food in the lockers from the back. Did I mention there are no bathrooms?

For now the love and support from our NYC community we are eternally grateful for, as we try to build this business and get ourselves into a storefront. Our friends at PICNIC (the staff placing orders in the lockers) will be happy to come grab one of us from the kitchen - happy to have you come take a peek as well to see where the magic happens if you would like! I know it's a different experience from other locations (we were a family of Cinnaholic lovers from other locations to start!) but we hope the convenience of getting goodies delivered/grab and go in midtown is at least something. I promise the most important part of what makes Cinnaholic so special we still have in droves...love for animals, the planet, our customers, our team, family, and the same delicious ingredients and treats!!
