Good food - Edit
Whole vegan menu, good choice of dishes to have with rice. Nice restuarant layout and tables also.

A nice option - Edit
The sweet and sour vegetables was good. Wish it had more veggies, but nice to have a separate vegan menu.

Quick and vegan easy - Edit
The separate vegan menu is great and there are many options. We took the soy meat with cashew nuts and the fried rice that were very good. Staff is nice and service is quick. Portions are small and we ended up ordering many dishes so the bulk was higher than expected.

Delicious meal, quick service - Edit
I got the sweet and sour dish and I side of rice. It was really nice. Served quick. They gave us a hot liquid assumed it was tea and it was broth 🥲. Would go again if we were staying and no queue at lunch

Sehr schöne und große Auswahl.

Alles zusammen für umgerechnet 18€. Total gerechtfertigt. Super Option! Super lecker!

A Decent Option - Edit
This place was a life saver! It is open later than many places in Nara and it doesn't close on Tuesdays. No queue and no reservation needed. The restaurant has a vegan menu with nine dishes. All of them were decent. While I wouldn't go out of my way to seek out this restaurant, it is a solid choice if you're in the area and looking for some vegan food. The stir fried vegetables, the soy 'meat' and cashew nuts and the cocktails were particularly good.

Good Food - slow service, high prices - Edit
Decent Chinese meal in Nara, they have a separate menu for vegans that is very helpful however I don’t think the portions are worth the prices. However, if you’re craving a decent Chinese meal like I was, this is a great option. I ordered the Mapo Tofu - Level 2 spice (not for the faint of heart, there is a literal danger warning on the menu for anyone ordering above level 1 spice) and the friend rice both were delicious.

Nice option - Edit
The cashew soy meat was soooo good! Really enjoyed the Yuba and vegetables as well. Portions are on the smaller side and the service seemed a little rushed at first. But really nice flavors.

Good option - Edit
We came here after another vegan restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. They have a vegan menu with 6 options. We got the fried rice, soy meat with cashew and noodles with vegetable. The soy meat with Cashews was so so good, I was really impressed and it was really yummy with the fried rice. The noodles weren't to my taste, they had a strong ginger flavour and not much else. The portions were on the smaller size. We probably needed another dish to share between two to fill up. I would definitely go back for the soy meat with Cashews.

Separate vegan menu - Edit
There is a separate vegan menu - with English option - so it’s really easy to order here. We had the sweet and sour and cashew stir fries. Both came with soy ‘meat’. I would have personally liked more vegetables and fewer mushrooms, but that’s just my taste. Staff spoke English and were friendly and efficient. #Veganuary

Great food! - Edit
Amazing Chinese restaurant close to the big destinations in Nara. I was honestly floored when I saw that they had 9 separate vegan options. The food tasted amazing, and was served pretty quickly. The staff were very friendly and quick with their service!
Read moreThe food is a bit pricier than other options, and the options don't come with rice, so make sure to ask for rice if you want some with your meal. Not too bad though, my meal cost about ¥1600.
Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Nara!
Pros: Delicious food
Cons: On the pricier side

Nice but small portions - Edit
They'll bring you the vegan menu on request. Unfortunately they didn't have the set menu anymore, so I went for veggie mushroom soup and soymeat with veggies and cashews instead. The portions are quite small and you don't get rice with them (probably could order some extra rixe though), therefore the prices are quite high in my opinion.

Lovely little lunch - Edit
Saw this on HappyCow and looked outside. No obvious vegan items on the menu outside so was a bit hesitant, but then I saw the HappyCow sticker on the window that said “vegan options” - very encouraging! We walked up the stairs on the right side and were greeted kindly by a man who took us to a lovely private table with curtains. You have to ask for a vegan menu, which they are happy to do. There were 6 vegan options. The stir fries did not come with rice so I went for the vegetable soup noodles and they were good! It was a good portion to fill me up, the noodles were good and the soup was very light and fresh. It was not a flavour bomb but I enjoyed it very much and it felt really healthy.

They still have a vegan menu - Edit
If you tell them you’re vegan, they will bring you a vegan menu. There’s also plain white rice on the regular menu you can order on the side. They have a good tea selection as well. Overall, the food was pretty good. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff were very friendly. Overall, we had a good experience and it’s worth checking out if you’re in the area.

A must try - Edit
While visiting Nara with my daughter, who is a vegetarian, she was craving Chinese food. This satisfied her craving for sure. An easy walk from Kintetsu-Nara station it was easy to find on the 2nd floor. Friendly staff who spoke enough English to make ordering easy. Just ask for the vegan menu and they’ll happily bring it to you. Food came out fresh, sizzling hot, and picture perfect. The taste did not disappoint either. Her sweet and sour ‘chicken’ looked and tasted delicious. You’d never know it was vegan unless someone told you. We’d definitely return if in Nara again. So nice to enjoy such a great meal together where we could each find a dish that suits something for everyone’s tastes.
