Delicious vegan food - Edit
We came here for an early morning breakfast. The food was delicious. The entire menu is vegan, and there’s plenty of choice. If we were in Hanoi for longer we would come here again tomorrow😄

I’ve been here twice; the first time I specifically asked for ‘no coriander,’ but everything still came with coriander. When I pointed out the mistake, it turned out the waiter didn’t know how to say coriander in English. A bit shocking, but overall very good (even though the noodles I got were cold and all stuck together).

The food itself was okay-tasting, although the portions were quite small and some off the dishes had very little flavour. Our waiter seemed pretty bored, was on their phone all the time and was hard to get a hold of. Definitely okay to visit if you‘re hungry, but for a great meal I would consider some of the other choices in the viscinity

We had a late lunch at Chayfood. We had the Hanoi style noodles (nice big portion, pleasant) and vegan burrito (odd flavours like pineapple, very small portion - not even the size of a standard taco back home for 100k etc).

We weren’t particularly keen on the ambience and service. Our waiter seemed bored/ fed up by our presence and seemed to be on his phone all the time. The walls were bare and the fans so plus we couldn’t talk. There was 0 ambience to talk of. It was clean and quieter than the street, I guess.
It’s fine. Go if you’re hungry. Just not if you want a really cool or romantic meal.

Las raciones son muy pequeñas. Pedimos dos sopas y dos platos (uno para cada uno), y la sopa o crema de verduras iba en el cuenco más pequeño que he visto nunca. No pido que sea tan grande como una Pho tradicional, pero es que la sopa era minúscula. Y las demás raciones también. Nos quedamos con hambre y es la primera vez que nos pasa en Vietnam.

Nice vegan food - Edit
Fully vegan menu with a large variety of traditional vietnamese dishes. We had the lotus salad, wonton soup, Hanoi bun Rieu and tofu with dipping sauce. It was all very nice and tasty, the food was fresh and we did not have to wait long. We really liked it 😋

Very friendly service, and quick too. Option to sit on a little balcony which we didn’t do (far too humid!) but would have been great for people watching. On the fancier end of vegan restaurants in the city but still very reasonably priced coming from Europe.

Well, this was delicious! We had pho spring rolls, fried spring rolls, and the tofu sausage banh mi. They were all great! We had the pumpkin cashew milk and the cheesecake and raspberry tart too. Delicious and we were very full by the end! The staff were lovely and the place is very cute. I'd highly recommend Chayfood to any vegans visiting Hanoi!! 😊🪷

best vegan pho (Hanoi style) - Edit
It’s the best vegan restaurant we went to in Hanoi. I fell in love with their vegan Hanoi style pho that had fresh veg on the side to put in. The lemon cheesecake was also delicious, a healthy cake option that satisfied you in a good way.
