We had a mix of the small plates and shared, the satay and summer rolls were stand out. All very fresh. They also accommodate gluten free options and even made a different sauce up specially for my partner. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed most of the dishes, which were fresh and relatively unique. The housemade seitan (monastery style) was my favorite by far. Despite what other reviews have said about the duck in peanut sauce, I found that to be pretty disappointing. I've definitely had better imitation duck. Still, lots of good food, from the salads to the soups.

Loads of options with everything we ordered being tasty and a reasonable price. Their set menu of tapas was delicious and good value - an excellent option if you are feeling indecisive and want to try a few different dishes. Would recommend.

This one is all vegan, so choosing from the broad menu is a bit of a challenge. I ordered three dishes from the tapas section. They were all tasty. I will be back to try one of the main dishes - like the pancake 😋

Maybe the best Vegan Vietnamese Place in Berlin - Edit
Berlin has a great variety of vegan and vegetarian Vietnamese restaurants, but Chay Long may just be the best of them all (admittedly, we haven't eaten at all of them yet, but we're close). The quality of the cooking here is just consistently a level above most Vietnamese restaurants.
Read moreTake the Curry for example: the sauce is a lot earthier, spicier & funkier than you'd usually get. The vegan duck is among the best in the city, and the portions are very generous. Another favourite of ours is the Bao Bun. Almost all Bao Buns in Berlin are good, if they get the dough right, but here the filling is just so much tastier and more complex. I also really love the Bánh Xèo. The presentation varies a little each time, but you mostly get the version with lots of betel leafs and lettuce to use as a wrap.
We can also heartily recommend the Pyramid Dumpling, the Chay Long Monastry & of course, the Vietnamese Coffee. The service is really good & the place is cozy and inviting. If you call ahead, they can also deal with slightly bigger groups, even though the place isn't that spacious. We've also been to the Chay Long in Kreuzberg and although the dishes they offer vary a little, as far as we could tell, they're just as good.
Overall, to us, Chay Long is really the archetype of a 5/5 vegan Vietnamese restaurant.

The cafe introduced me to the vietnamese cuisine. Never expected it to be so good. Seitan dips, summer rolls, sweet potatoes, oyster mushrooms - is just a small (but very yum) portion of the big menu of delicious food. Cool As A Cucumber cocktail is a fresh tasty drink to enjoy with your meal. The cozy atmosphere and nice staff make your experience comfortable and make you want to come back more (which ofc we do).

They had a nice lunch menu, I had the báhn xèo which was really good. The pho has a really nice broth which I’ve never been able to find at other vegan Vietnamese places so it was a nice surprise! The curry was also good.

I've never visited the café itself, but I often order takeaway food from them. It is quite expensive, but the food is absolutely worth it. It's amazing and the staff at the café are great about accommodating my preferences: they'll substitute rice with vegetables or change the sauce, for example. They are INCREDIBLE.

Die Terrasse bzw der Bereich zum Essen draußen ist recht groß. Es war am Wochenende trotz super Wetter wenig los, was schon kein super Zeichen ist, wenn man bei anderen Plätzen Schlange steht. Manche Angestellte rauchen draußen. Drinks waren schlichtweg viel zu süß, obwohl extra für nicht süß gefragt wurde. Vorspeisen waren nix. Bao Bun war ungewürzt und ohne Soße und die Füllung waren komische Pilze & Nudeln. Tofu sticks mit Erdnuss Sauce waren winzig und haben alt geschmeckt, Soße war ok. Curry war versalzen (ich essen sonst sehr salzig) und wenig Reis. Wirkte nicht sonderlich frisch alles. Service bemüht, aber na gut…
