Super friendly - Edit
The owner was super friendly, one of the first questions was if I'm vegetarian. Then he showed me all vegan options ( a lot ) and the food came very quickly. It was tasty. One main dish and an ice tea 5,90€. For Bali definitely more expensive

Amazing Indian food and wonderful owner - Edit
We stopped into this restaurant on our way to the long-range bus location. We were greeted warmly as we entered and the owner was very nice to chat with us and to explain the menu.
Read moreThe menu is not 100% vegan but she said they don't use ghee or butter by default, only if someone specifically asks for it. It was nice knowing the food that we were told was vegan wouldn't have hidden problems like this. There were plenty of options on the menu for us to choose from.
The food itself was delicious and a good value for money. Set menus come with a free coffee yay! The food was not spicy at all, and the owner said this was in purpose to try to have a more "down home" Indian taste. Also nice that the roti was fried with coconut oil.
We had the yellow dhal, which came with a mixed veg dish and choice of basmati rice or roti. It was good and not spicy at all. It was also lightly salted, I wanted to add a little salt but was told not to for my heath...urg. The marsala dosa was also delicious and came with a nice simple soup. Cardamom chai with oatmilk was excellent.
