One of my favourite Seminyak spots - Edit
I love this place, and have come back 10 times over the last 4 visits to Bali. It's a great little area so close to the beach but it doesn't fall into the Bali tourist trap of trying to cater only for the western diet.
Read moreA great range of vegan Indonesian options and all of them delicious (I've literally tried them all 😂)
Prices are very reasonable, plus a pool table if you feel the need to smakc some balls 🎱

Amazing vegan options - Edit
Cendana has been our go to place in Seminyak for years!
Read moreWe ate here four times in three days on our recent trip.
They have a new labelled vegan menu with plenty of variety.
The food is always amazing - The Nasi Gurih (similar to Nasi Campur) was my favourite. It comes with both tofu and tempeh and a mix of flavours. I'm allergic to nuts and they were able to make some changes to accommodate (Balinese curry has candlenut). It's also very close to the beach so perfect spot to visit before or after a beach trip

The Vegan Friendliest non-vegan Restaurant in Bali - Edit
Cendana Restaurant my go to place in Bali when i crave for tasty vegan Indonesian dishes. Even though it is not even a vegetarian restaurant, but Cendana has quite a few vegan-friendly Indonesian dishes like 'Gado-gado' (indonesian mix salad with peanut sauce), Balinese vegetable curry, 'Opor Tahu' (Braised tofu in coconut milk)to name a few. My absolute favorite is the veganized version of their 'Nasi Gurih, which is a savory rice that comes with fried tofu, sweet spicy tempe orek, vegetables curry, and spicy potato crisp. Love it! so worth the trip! Then finish it off with Black Rice Pudding 'Bubur Injin'' with Coconut Ice Cream.
Read moreWhat I truly love about Cendana is how accommodating they are. They can whip up a vegan dish or veganize some dishes at your request (when possible of course) . The key is to ask and inform the staff that you are vegan and they’ll gladly accommodate you.
Pros: Excellent food with good value, Friendly and helpful staff, very accommodating, Nice traditional Indonesian vibe
Cons: no dedicated vegan section in the menu

Good food - Edit
At first we had some trouble finding this place because Google Maps shows it in the wrong location, behind some buildings but no path in that direction. Follow the map on HappyCow to find the right location, right next to the road and clearly visible when you walk past it.
Read moreHad the vegan gado gado and it was good. Not the best food ever, but definitely nice, especially the satay sauce was really good. And they seem to have a variety of vegan Indonesian dishes. Quite cheap as well and nice atmosphere

Lovely place - Edit
Good vegetarian and vegan options, great atmosphere and friendly staff! The food was nice and the price was so reasonable. Our cheapest meal in Seminyak! We made the mistake of passing this place due to the location as we assumed it would be pricey.

Good veg and vegan options - Edit
I stayed at this hotel in July 2022 and found there to be good veg and vegan options for all meals (including the set breakfast). The smoothie bowls were delicious and it was nice eating meals in the garden area by the pool. The prices are also reasonable and cheaper than the restaurants along the beach.

No vegan options - Edit
I asked them if any of their vegetarian options could be made vegan and they said no. Avoid this place if you are vegan. I ordered a coffee and it was brought out with dairy milk in it which I’ve never had happen before. I asked if I could have it black with no milk and they made it seem like it was a big ordeal.

Cons: No vegan options, Be careful with even coffee
