High Expectations! - Edit
Coming to a Bela Gil restaurant makes you have huge expectations and sometimes it can work against you! It’s a great one, but not unique! I feel like have to make the right choices here. Tried the oriente bowl and it was good, but again, would expect a bit more. The dish of the day was rather avagare.

Really fast and friendly service. I had the chickpea hummus with veggies and sourdough bread. Cost was about 8 euro. The setting is lovely and chilled. Also I could charge my phone which was very much needed! And they have an English menu, which is unusual in Sao Paulo

Além do local ser bastante aconchegante (no jantar há uma iluminária individual para cada mesa, pela qual é possível regular a intensidade da luz, achei simpático), a comida e bebida são simplesmente divinos! Provei um suco de uvaia com graviola (refrescante e um mix de sabores indescritível) e a "bela tigela oriente" (colorida com vegetais, folhas e tempeh hiper saboroso). Como sobremesa, fui de tiramisù, doce na medida certa e explodindo nas texturas e temperaturas dos ingredientes. O atendimento também foi muito prestativo e atencioso. O valor não é tão barato, mas dentro do praticado na região e em restaurantes similares. Vale muito a pena em ocasiões especiais.

I went there on the week-end and it wasn't really busy. But the staff took forever to take my order. The drinks arrived fine but the food took forever to arrive. What arrived within 30 seconds was the bill.😉They also allow street sellers inside the restaurant and because there are many, you will be interrupted every 5-10 minutes and asked to buy items from them.

Bela Gil developed the concept of this great place. The food is organic and very tasty, using regional and seasonal ingredients. There are plenty vegan options. They also have many options of cocktails made with Brazilian ingredients. It is a must go in São Paulo.

It really was an amazing experience. Excellent service. Really, one of the best services I've ever had in restaurants, in general. I ate the "Gluten-free penne with vegetable pesto". It was a good dish, but I didn't find it an excellent experience, because at this price we find wonderful dishes in vegan restaurants, which was not in this case, in addition to the dish coming with a small amount. But it was worth it. And the experience closed very well with the Tiramisù for dessert (it was awesome)! I just missed not seeing the owner of the restaurant and, who knows, her father.

Foi um bom prato, mas não achei uma excelente experiência, pois neste preço a gente acha maravilhosos pratos em restaurantes veganos, o que não foi neste caso, além do prato vir com uma quantidade pequena. Mas valeu. E a experiência fechou com chave de ouro com o Tiramisù de sobremesa (foi demais)! Só senti falta de não ter visto a dona do restaurante e, quem sabe, o pai dela.

This is a gourmet restaurant. The place is beautifully decorated, hip, and cozy. The menu is varied and creative, using many ingredients not often found in other restaurants. Most options are vegan, the menu (available in English) is clearly labeled so it is pretty easy to navigate. It was difficult to choose what to order with so many interesting and different options. I had the Bela Tigela Oriente and it was very tasty! The dish itself was somewhat simple, but the details made it amazing. It came with two different sauces, one for the veggies and one for the pasta, and the combination of flavors they provided was perfect. It wouldn't be such a special dish without the sauces. The tempeh was delicious but a bit burned, which was the only negative point. The dish was pretty satisfying but there was still room for dessert. I had the Manjar das Deusas and it was delicious! Creamy and sweet, fresh and fruity, definitely a good choice. Overall, coming to this restaurant is a special experience, and the prices reflect that. It is expensive, but worth it.

Camelia Ododo is hip, outdoor seating and nice servers. I had a few dishes here including the “snacks”, manioc bread, feijoada dumplings and the CURAU DA BELA!
Read moreAll of it was amazing and delicious. The indoor portion of the place seemed to lack proper ventilation since it smelled like fried food but since i sat outside wasn’t too bothered. I probably would avoid going when it’s cold outside because of that.

The restaurant offered 90% vegan dishes and some vegetarian options. Everything is super tasty, you can taste the quality of the ingredients and the service is spectacular. It is a bit more pricy but it’s worth it! Nice atmosphere, perfect if you want to spoil yourself with incredible vegan food. Even 10 (!!) vegan deserts, which are usually difficult to find. I loved it and am already thinking about going back. Also very nice drinks. Also, I loved the consciousness about the environment!

Read moreTheir purpose of sustainable and organic food is not common in Brazil, so how wonderful that they follow such an important way of operating their business.
The food was sometimes a little bland and other time extremely spicy. But this could be a matter of taste.
It is a very nice place for a special night out.
